JVB66 - good to hear you're home again, but make sure you get everything checked out fully.  The NHS is almost always absolutely great in emergencies but can be sadly lacking when it comes to the routine care needed afterwards.

Getting ready to take van to our dealer today for annual service, at least it is not raining.

Busy week so will collect it on Friday assuming all is well.

Bit of a washout today☔️ Did get a walk in Fakenham and spotted a greywagtail in the town centre.  Not one photo taken today, that must be a first.  Tawny Owls calling to each other🦉.  Trip over too soon back home in the morning🌝

After a grey dull start to the day it finished off very nice, lovely sunset tonight.

Went up to elder sons house this morning, he has had it rented out for the last 10 years but now wants to get it ready to put it on the market for sale. We had organised for gardeners to come in and cut all 4 hedges, boy were they out of hand. We cut back 3 very overgrown bushes and made a start on clearing the dead leaves. Its going to be a long haul though the garden has not had anything done to it for years bare the minimum. Might get another couple of hours up there tomorrow morning as the forecast looks to be good.

Lots of geese over head the last few days, not sure where they are heading but you can't half hear them when they go over.

Blessed printer has just given up the ghost!!! Mind you the only date information I can find was printed in 2004 so I don't think it owes me anything. Wish I had not purchased those new cartridges now!!! Strange thing seems to have happened, the cartridge compartment seems to have imploded on itself so fairly clear what the problem is!!! I think I will go for a combined scanner and printer to free up even more space. Also it will have WiFi so everyone can use it. Currently have my technical team (son) working on the choice of a replacement.

As we had to get a new laptop not long ago we upgraded to a newer printer (with the help of nectar points earned on ebay.) We had an all singing and dancing printer before but the new one is a Canon TS8050 and it's more compact. All good so far, old printer now in daughter's home. smile

Today I was at the vets, our old terrier has a few ailments and a few nights without sleep propelled me to sort her out, as far as we can. This included "new" flea treatment, chewable tablets which she promptly separated from the chicken chunks carefully used to disguise them. Having been thoroughly checked over, yet again, plus extra tablets for another problem I hope we all get a night's sleep.

A busy week ahead, daughter no 2 going to a family funeral in Cornwall, visiting dog staying a night, seeing Dippy the Diplodocus, meeting friends. Then watching son's father in law playing a part in the Vicar of Dibley which is being performed by three different casts in three venues locally. I might get time to pack the van?! wink

Where did today go to? Who stole it?

Anyway, got car back from garage after warranty work. I was thinking of buying Goldfish to put in the spare wheel well as there was so much water in there.

Plus doctors appointment. He was actually on time. I had taken the precaution of making a soup for tonight in case I was seriously delayed but could have made it fresh. Mrs WN suggested I put it in fridge for Wednesday when I have another doctors appt.as that one is later! So we had something else instead. Confused? I certainly am.

Grey, wet morning as we got ready for the off. Easy journey up to Paxton House and the rain held off while we set up and managed a walk after lunch. More rains howers this evening. Only van on site so had pick of the pitches. All's fine except no TV signal so I'll probably miss the Rugby this weekend.frown

Just  listen  to  the  matches  on  Steam  Radio,  NTH,  and  let  your  mind  run  free  --  like  we  used  to  do  in  those  'dark'  ( i.e.  Pre  T.V.  )  days.

I worked 5 to 8 p.m. yesterday evening whilst my wife went shopping in Tesco Extra, Shoreham. Tonight I'll be working 5.30 to 9.30 p.m. whilst my wife plans to stay at home in the caravan for a change.

Only 6 more nights left, here in Gatwick, before our move back to Brighton for 18 nights.

Sunny start to the day here, off to see the dippy exhibition today. I have been to the Natural History Museum many years ago but can't remember much as I was there with a friend and four of our children, we went into the "experience an earthquake" bit and I became ill. So our visit ended abruptly! wink

Nice run over to Dorchester from here, across the hills with lovely views over two counties.

Got home yesterday after a few days away, quick turnaround as had to go to work in the afternoon, director is in Tenerife so had to make sure I was in the office. frown

Had a lovely couple of days away, visited NT Wimpole Hall and park, cold but sunny day, great place for walks smile can recommend if in the Cambridge area.

Caravan is on the drive and have just given the inside a bit of a clean,  the outside is filthy, as drive home was in drizzle and wet roads. Not sure if it's worth cleaning outside before it goes back to storage later. undecided We have to drive past a quarry .

Have caught up with a few posts on here, JVB66 sorry to hear you had a health scare  hope you are feeling better now.

Lovely sunny day here, off to our son's house to look at an electrical problem.  Picking up DD on the way as she has not been to see him for a while.

Lovely sunny day here today too, had intended going up to sons house to do some gardening for him but I've not had a good night and this morning I was very dizzy.

When I went to get up I had real trouble trying to focus, the room was spinning. So I've had a very lazy morning laying on the sofa, thankfully the spinning has now stopped but I still feel a bit of a tension headache.

Think the last few days have been a bit much and I'm over tired. I've got a massage booked for this afternoon so that should help. Hungry but don't fancy anything frown Oh well only 9 days until we are on holiday cool

TG - that's exactly how my flu started.  I was out with my sister, and suddenly everything started to go round and round.  We had to go into Wetherspoons for a cup of tea, and I thought I would feel better if I ate something.  I felt better after about twenty minutes, and was able to continue shopping - albeit with a headache - and that evening I started with a sore throat and running nose, then a cough.  I've still got everything (eleven days later) - including feeling slightly 'wobbly' when I move quickly and when bending down to cut some chives ten minutes ago I lost my balance and nearly fell.

My son started on Friday, whilst playing with his baby - bent down to tickle her - and the floor boards went one way whilst he went the other!  Now he's got flu too.......................!  He's a lot better now though - I think because he's such a lot younger.  OH has had something similar, but is also now much improved.

Feeling a bit better now ValDa, though still have headache, don't want to take anything as I've also had a bit of an upset tum for the last few days. I might be a bit dehydrated so drinking lots of water. Went out for awhile in the sun to get some fresh air but its got cold now so back in doors. I hope its not the flu as I had that back in November so don't fancy that again, plus we go on holiday next week frown

Hope you and your family continue to feel better its a rotten virus.

I've just been out trying out the new bike rack we got for the Volvo roof. Very impressed with it so far it was easy to put on the car and easy to put the bike on it. We are planning on going away in the van this weekend so may take the bike weather permitting.

OH didn't have the flu jab and I did, we both got slightly different versions of this nasty bug. I've still got a problem with ringing in my ears, both still tired. Mine started just before Christmas and suddenly got worse. Anyway it is finally going so anyone feeling unwell hope you'll feel better soon.
