I woke up and thought it was Monday, I was trying to work out how I was going to get the dog to the vets etc etc when I realised I'd lost a day!
So have decided it's a mooching day, nice and mild, might get a few garden things sorted.

We've lost many a day this week, Brue. Since our return a couple of weeks ago we've not been able to get into our normal rhythm. It was a good job we noticed the neighbours bins out the other day otherwise we would have missed Friday! Next week will no better as we have 2 doctors and 1 dentist appointment to mess up timings and days and my car to pick up from the garage when they call me.

Just checking through my accounts etc. I have found a bond for £17,000 that was not on my spread sheet! I obviously have too much money now as 20 years ago I would have noticed

I have obviously Deleted User a line somewhere. I suppose tha tI will have to check through the lot again.

Sorry to be off topic and not discussing Malcolm’s tax affairs for which I grovel in mortification👎🏻
Had a lovely walk around Cley and saw all the birds you would expect to see at this time of the year, 2 highlights were first Peacock Butterfly and Sky Lark of the year. 🦋
Another highlight was cake and hot chocolate in the cafe.
Now back in the van - cosy
Now handing the thread back😇

We had an "interesting" day yesterday when i woke up at 0200 with "pains" in my chest after a couple of hours trying to move the indigestion around ,gave 111 a call which after a call from the doctor ended up with Two East of England ambulances and five crew outside our house and after in house treatment a Blue light trip via A1 to our nearest (now) major hospital 9mls away,to A&E resus unit (no queueing),although very busy, first class treatment,(morphine sorted the pain) thankfully the "symptoms" were not as first suspected, at one point 35bpm pulse,
So i was to be discharged later that morning, and this is where there are problems as a consultant has to visit and agree a discharge, which eventually was at turned 1700, in the meantime their is me "blocking" A&E cubical with patients on screened trolleys in the corridors, waiting Handover to the A&E dep when i asked one of the doctor why are discharges no made a priority he advised that the "consultant" level at W/ends is very low(costs!!)

As it was sunny earlier and nice and warm working in it, I spent some time sorting out my tyre sensors. There seems to be a big attrition rate with them, as 3 have failed in the 2 years I have had them, only one under warranty.☹️ The failure also costs another battery as the device tells you it needs replacing, but that is exhausted in a few days. I do like the reassurance of having them, but at £35 each for replacement sensor, if it keeps happening I think I will just monitor the van.
I was just about to post the above when OH informed me the toilet seat had just broken right along the hinge. So a quick trip to B&Q was called for before they closed at 4pm. Will have to fit it in a minute when I've finished my coffee. It's one of those soft close ones this time, so it will stop visitors who have them dropping it, which probably led to the damage to the hinge in the first place.

Two hours if in severe pain is too long to wait JVB. No one on NHS would criticise you for 999 on chest pains, so don't wait next time. Too many folks go to bed with what they think is indigestion, or wake up in middle of night with what they think is indigestion, and it can be too late. The quicker the better seeking emergency help with chest pains.
I had a cousin, aged 32, thought she had indigestion. She was at work teaching, she tried to get through day. She died in ambulance, it was too late for her. She left an 18 month old baby and a distraught husband. So, chest pains, with sweating, clammy, pain in arms and jaw, get an ambulance.......
Glad you are ok, very frightening for you and your family.

Glad to hear its not as bad as it could have been JVB66, hope you are feeling better soon.
Lazy morning followed by a hectic afternoon, granddaughter flew back up today as its end of half term for her.
Back to school this afternoon and they are all moving rooms in the house. Think 68 x 11 year old boys and girls all moving rooms at the same time or not as it happened. Some arrived back at 3 pm others not until after 5 pm, so we had a bit of bed blocking.
That means you cant move your kit from wardrobe, desk, under bed drawers etc until the bed you are moving into has been cleared. Total nightmare as some of the children were just dropped off so no adult to help them move.
Thankfully we managed to get to the school early enough to pack granddaughters things up ready to move but it still took 3 hours to get everything moved from the top floor to the middle floor then put everything away plus unpack the clean clothes we had taken back with us and all the new things her Mum sent her back with. We now have another bag full of clothes that she doesn't want/need at school or has room for.

What is it with kids these days, way to much kit that they don't need, she will grow out of it long before she gets a chance to wear it all.
Don't even mention the amount of make up she has, 11 years old and she has more make up than I think I've had in my life time

Rant over, hope you all (except JV) had a good weekend.

I finished work at 10 p.m. last night. The commute back to the site took 40 minutes, so well in time for the 11 p.m. barrier lock! My wife spent the evening at the Railway pub next to the station trying to join in the karaoke there! It's her favourite haunt for a Sunday evening when Tesco Extra is closed!

,As i said nothing but first class service from all the front line NHS staff,
Have sent an Email to local MP who is really up for trying to "improve" what seems,as with a lot of "problems" that the senior managers have a very blinkered out look as to what seems could really make such a difference to waiting times, the whole day i was there it was obviose to the staff and conversasions with them where a big improvement could be made
Have just had a reply from our MP wants a meeting
