And I thought I was making a comment on what we actually saw, but never mind it has been entertaining reading the comments from 1) people who dont know LMP and the many dog walks. 2) the  sensitive people 3) Those in denial about dog mess. Off to Morris Leisure tomorrow and Will see if the commercials are better and stricter on control.

The trouble is, F, that what you "actually saw" and what you implied in your OP (it's there at the top of the page) turned out to be two rather different things, didn't it? undecided

Still, I'm sure Morris Leisure will be a different kettle of Fish all together! Enjoy it! wink

The club will not take any action which means they lose a member, Morris leisure on the other hand will take action, this club should take note... but don't hold your breath.

Is that what they do at Morris leisure?yell

    "Cancel there membership,eject"

The same could be said for someone who continually post in such a manner on the forumwink

On another forum I'm on they call them seagulls, they swoop in and.................

If that's how you like to dress up at weekends JK, who are we to stop you. tongue-out  But as most Wardens dress sensibly in accordance with CMC rules, you could be holding the CMC up to ridicule. wink  I think the CMC might draw the line at shooting customers with a shotgun though. surprised    Many  thanks for giving us an insight into the private thoughts and wishes of CMC Wardens that most of us were previously unaware. I'm sure wardens will be viewed in a completely different light in future.  winksurprisedtongue-outcool

As this will just rumble on and on can the people who see all this dog mess please provide photographic proof (not sure how they can do it and prove it is on a club site) as I have seldom seen any in close on 25 years of caravanning.

I will say that I think some good has come out of this thread, in that virtually all the dog owners who've posted acknowledge that these things do occasionally happen on site, and agree that where they do, dogs running free or not being cleaned up after is totally unacceptable and some action needs to be taken. On the other side, most non owners have accepted that it is very much a minority who abuse the rules and that theoriginal title and tone of the OP was provocative, exaggerated and unhelpful in addressing the perceived problem.

So a good deal of common ground, in spite of the best efforts of one or two (both owners and non owners) to try to keep it going as a contentious issue. undecided

I was just about to give this post a "Like" until I got to the bit containing the word provocative,As a responsible, sensible dog owner I was definitely not Provoked as I have seen many examples of Anti social behaviour by some Dog Owners over the years.-------Granted there will be some dog owners in complete denial about the subject and others who are so ultra sensitive about talk of any kind about antisocial behaviour by dog owners. But level headed, relaxed owners will recognise that those antisocial events do happen and appreciate that others have the right to talk about it.

    cool

K - the word "provocative" was used regarding the original title. Do you remember what it was? Maybe a "level headed, relaxed" non dog owner starting a thread such as this would not have used the word that had to be removed by a mod! undecided

But since we're in complete agreement apart from that fact, best rest happy, eh? Hope you have an enjoyable time touring with your dog this year - but it won't be on club sites, will it? wink

Glad to say we are back from Morris Leisure. Betws y Coed. Really enjoyed myself. Mussels from Conway. A walk up to Glaslyn on Snowdon. Two things were seen or on the news at the time. 1) A Sign on the ML office window telling dog owners not to exercise or let their dogs off lead on the public rec area (Childrens playing field) Owners were fined £75 . What sensible dog owner would exercise their dog in such an area, but obviously it does. 2) Police report stated as having had over 450 dog worrying reports in last 3 years and 50 dogs shot for these offences in the same time. Only I'm the small area of North Wales. Makes you wonder. Enjoy yourselves everyone,

Anyone who allows their dog to worry livestock is asking for trouble, and I can fully understand any farmer reaching for their gun.

The report is also interesting in terms of other statistics though....Welsh farmers have shot three times and more dogs in the same period as anywhere else in the UK, and of course, it was a Welsh Police Officer that ran down and killed a dog that had got loose on a road in North Wales.

I hesitate to make any further comment.

Perhaps most sheep worrying will be in Wales as there are perhaps more sheep to worry? I know not

As someone who has seen the devastation caused to sheep by an aggressive dog (field on the edge of our village) I have no problems with any farmer shooting any dog that is worrying or attacking sheep and I speak as a dog lover.

The poor farmer lost quite a few sheep and was very distressed. It was suggested but not actually confirmed in the local press that gangs of knuckle draggers consider this to be a sport and will drive out with attack dogs to satiate their blood lust. Words fail me or at least decency prevents me from saying what I think.

Gosh, didn't realize there was also an issue with Sheep worrying on C&MHC sites.  I do hope when the wardens are issued with their shotguns they don't end up shooting the campers or putting holes in peoples outfits because they slipped on something that hadn't been picked up smile
