How's your footy team doing?

The magic of the cup again tomorrow . Apparently Brum have won very few away matches this season so you just know what's going to happen. The GS fancies sitting in a different part of the stadium as it's all pay on the gate he may get his wish.

Off topic, I know, but what do footy fans think of Leeds United's new badge?

Sorry to see the result Brue, but I must admit I'm full of admiration for any Bloke who spends half a day or more driving down the motorways from Motherwell to play for Yeovil. I'd be fit to Sleep for Yeovil never mind run round a footy pitch

Ah, but they all need the money Brue.
Heard Chairman of a certain East Midland club on BBC this lunchtime and he's brave enough to reduce the entrance fee for next weeks match against Crewe to £2 : 00 Yes TWO QUID !! ( Some of you might say that's too dear at half the price )
He's hoping to get a few more bodies thro' the turnstiles regularly ( ?? do they still use them ?? ) 'cos they've pulled up the attendances from a low of 3,000 to 8,000 now but Still lose £1,500,00 a year.
One and a half million is quite a sum for any 'Little Club ' to find every year before they start building up any cash in hand.
p.s. how much per week does the latest MU player get per week, I wonder ??

I'm pretty sure the match attendance money can't have much impact these days the further up the leagues you go. Yesterday there were 12,000 or so at the JSS, the average ticket price would have been about £10 so £120,000. That wouldn't pay a third of a Man U player's weekly wage.

True, but despite their Crewelty ( ) yesterday Nutters County pulled 17,000 in that's over double the regular attendance. So if a few hundred or more stay on as 'Regular Attenders' they'll soon recover anything lost on the gate receipts yesterday.

I wouldn't know. What I do know is we've got a very important match on Sunday against Bournemouth. The last time they came to the JSS they stuffed us 4-0 and our manager resigned immediately after the match.
They beat us 4-0 at their place earlier in the season and played most of the second half with 10 men. As Sir Alex would say its squeaky bum time.

Do hope you get a worthwhile result against Bournemouth, Rog.
Certainly hope the 'Red Button' report of your game is a lot better than Crewe's was today. It was about as welcoming as some posts on "What's tha' at now ?", but with hope for improvement !

Well at least you managed to SCRAPE a LUCKY three points today, Rog, Altho' I'm hearing that the REF was seen out last night COURTING one of the Huddersfield Club Secretaries and he was heard promising her the very Earth.
And a well deserved three points for that nice Mr Benitez or some such up there in Nippy Newcastle .

For some reason my GS thinks Mr Oliver is a good ref. I didn't see anything to disprove that yesterday.
The Terriers just about dragged themselves out of the bottom three with a very good performance and the second 4-1 win in the week!
Now it's on to the magic of the cup next week, Man U back at the JSS and after the way they played at Newcastle yesterday I believe we could just, maybe, possibly, perhaps have a slight chance of getting into the next round 🤞🤞🤞

I certainly do Brian......
Accy Stanley received the princely sum of £10000 from 'that' advert and for a founder member of the league who went bust, it was from the advert Stanley were able to secure a ground and manager..... the rest is history!
Like a Phoenix from the ashes, they reformed and went straight through the divisions to eventually climb back into the league in 2006 and I watched from the terraces for 10 years until I moved.
Still the smallest club in the league I continue to follow them with interest, the only 'live' game I get to is at nearby Gresty Road.
Milk's not only good for your bones and teeth!!
"Come on Stanley" 👍😀

I'm wondering how many saw MOTD2 last Sunday. Apparently one of our substitutes was changing his shorts on the bench when BT Sports' cameras caught a glimpse. I've seen a still photo and considering the fact that it was a bitterly cold day it was quite impressive.🙄

Cold morning but at least there's a bit of sun out there -- might be even more if the blessed Crewe Alexandra score a half dozen & get their merited three points today. Then I'll probably wake up to find my bath waters gone cold, such is life
