Vendee in June
Looking for site recommendations in the Loire valley region within easy reach of the coast, I am travelling from the Dordogne and I am looking to spend a week in the area. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Sorry , not quite clear what you want. The Vendee is not the same as the Loire Valley. Could you please pinpoint where you are hoping to be. Regards.

I'm afraid that's not an area I know, but there's a cluster of large, popular sites there - such as Le Pin Parasol. La Garangeoire, La Guyonniere, and La Ferme du Latois. I can't help you choose between them but they all have reviews on UKCampsite.co.uk and that may be the place to start reading. Good luck with it.

Hi, we visited the area in 2017 to look at and choose a site for this year. We stayed at Guyonierre and visited Garangoire and Pin Parasol. Our criteria was based on it being a family holiday in August with a van and a tent, four adults and five children from 5 to 17.
We spent time looking around, toilets pool areas etc and spoke to some to staff.
Guyonierre and Garangeoire were OK but neither was as good as Pin Parasol for a variety of reasons but one main one being the cleanliness of the site and facilities.
If it was just the two of us we would probably be looking at closer to the coast.

When you say 'a quiet site' do you mean something like a CL in this country? If so there is a Camping a La Ferme site at Camping Les Sorinieres, 9 Les Sorinières, 85430 Nieul-le-Dolent, Tél. 02 51 07 91 58, https://www.camping-les-sorinieres.com/fr/camping-a-la-mer, which is between La Roche sur Yon and the coast.
But if you want to visit the 'famous' Chateaux of the Loire then you'll have to look further east.
