GOOD MAN ,£30.00
That's what i like ,someone who knows their job and is not a 'rip-off' merchant !! Then back to B/yd .

Not too bad a day today, by that I mean its not snowing or raining and we even had a glimpse of blue sky and sun
The weekend was spent doing the Gdaughters washing x 3 loads and just chilling out with her. When she comes out at the weekend she likes to just enjoy the peace and quiet after all the hub hub of the school. The dorm can be quite noisy at times.
We are gradually sorting her out and re-organising the huge amount of clothes her Mum seems to think she needs (she doesn't) they don't have a lot of wardrobe and draw space so some effort at keeping it tidy is needed (not one of her strong points) by weeding out things she said she doesn't need/want it will help.
Doctors this morning for me as I've had a sore left eye since last Thursday, chemist gave me some antibiotic eye drops on Saturday as he said it was conjunctivitis, however they just made it worse so I stopped using them. Doctor said no infection more like an allergy so different drops to try, seems a bit better already and the bloodshot look is going thankfully but still very itchy.
Trip into town after doctors to order new blinds for the patio doors in the dinning room.
Decided not to go away until the end of the week which should give time for all the snow to have cleared from the CL we will stay at for the weekend (aren't we considerate) that way the owner won't have any snow clearing to do.
Quick visit to number 2 son and family to drop off 5 boxes of stuff they left with us when they went to Malta. Then we are not sure what we will do after that, weather will decide where we will go for a week or so. So tomorrow it will be get everything together to go back in the M/H sort out a few clothes and food then load into van, visit Mum at some stage before going.

Enjoy getting away when you eventually do, Tammy.
We had a quiet saunter down from the Midlands CL we were stopping at to the club site at Bristol for 3 nights of city life. Funny that we don't visit cities very often these days even though myself and Mrs WN grew up a in large cities like Liverpool and Manchester and then lived in Manchester after getting married.. We enjoyed it at the time but having lived in rural North Wales now for nigh on 34 years we've become rare visitors to the big places, tending to restrict ourselves to day visits. Even the lure of Paris, Rome etc. doesn't hold the same appeal these days (well not with the caravan).

Know what you mean WN, got to be something special to draw us into a city. Had a nice day with the grandtwins took them for a walk on the marshes to splash in muddy puddles and there were plenty of those. Caught sight of the Eider Duck but too far for a decent photo.

Well, that’s 30 minutes of my life I’ll never get back.
My husband is at a Parish Council meeting, so I decided to watch the Martin Lewis money programme that’s been mentioned on one of these threads.
What a lot of shouting and blathering about Credit Scores. I didn’t take it all in, but one thing stood out - Credit Scores are not they be all and end all of applying for a loan, as they don’t take into account your income.
And, it was also mentioned I think that you should pay off your Credit Card balances.

Glad that you've had a decent trip down to Bristol, WN.
Managed to get the outside of van cleaned today, as the rain held off. Waited in all day for a service engineer to arrive this afternoon without any joy.
It took a 20 min phone call tonight to re-arrange it for the Thursday morning, as an emergency call-out. Fortunately it's only a boiler check, as we've just started a new boiler cover policy.

Goldie I find Martin Lewis programme the same as you - dare I say it? Rather dumbed down too.
But I can agree with your observations regarding credit score, never checked ours and credit card debit, almost the most expensive way of borrowing money some almost on par with some pay day loans. Much better to organise a bank loan at ridiculously low interest these days or transfer balance to 0% card and pay off WITHOUT using that card or any other unless cleared monthly.
I much prefer radio 4 moneybox programme on Saturday lunchtime or Sunday evening and a phone in on a subject on Wednesday. Not sure if it's on at the mo as can't pick up radio without Internet and I save that for the archers😂😂😂 and checking this thread 😢
I get the Martin Lewis email weekly but really not much in it occasionally find something useful so I haven't unsubscribed

B2 I enjoyed seeing your posts from NZ earlier, the green fields photo is very much like the farmland where my cousin lives nearby.
Seeing the agapanthus on the previous photos reminds me of Tresco in the Isles of Scilly, the only place I've seen it growing wild.

Cheers, NTH.
CL was an okay stop, quite good if travelling along M5 and needing a night halt but wouldn't want to base a holiday there.
Weather was atrocious but it looks like we needed a couple of days of complete wind down so mission accomplished.
I suppose engineers might have had extra work with recent weather incidents.
We always use the fact we have elderly person in house so they tend to prioritise. Might work with yourself.

What should have been a quiet day at home, getting on with making a few things, turned into a bit of a marathon.
DD rang last night to say her tenant had rung to say the washer/dryer would not spin, and there was water dripping from the pipes under the sink. Thinking, from this description, that there must be a blockage somewhere in the waste pipe, I agreed to take a look today. I also had her car to take to the garage.
After a bit of car juggling OH dropped me off at the flat, continued into town to pick up DD to fetch some keys (waste of time as it turned out) then came back to pick me up, then to DD's house to fetch her car to take to the garage. OH followed in the Smart to bring me home as using the bus would have made me very late back.
Sounds a bit like some of your car juggling Malcolm!
Garage will look at car tomorrow then report the bad news.
Washer/dryer needs repair man as it refuses to start. I think I know why, but could not access the reset as someone has wrecked the screws, I wonder who did that? Tenant has admitted opening top of machine but denies wrecking screws. DD is now very upset as this machine is costing her a small fortune in repairs! It was new only 4 years back.
Dripping under sink due to a small leak round tap, plus tenent had somehow knocked a sink trap off and did not know how to replace! Now sorted.
Going back tomorrow to see about tap and hopefully meet Repair Man.
Car will also have to be fetched at some point, but that can wait.

Brue the green fields with the handgliders was taken at Wainui Reserve, this leads down onto the beach and is part of Raglan so around where your cousin lives. It's about 40 minutes from here over some steep mountains, by our standards anyway 😉. Locals consider they must drive to the 100 kph limit, which seems to apply on all non urban roads 😲. Bends have max speed on the chevron signs for tightness of the bend, some as low as 35 kph but same application by locals that is the speed you aim for 😲😲. No crash barriers or anything to stop you going over the edge! Last weekend we had 6 individuals on motorbikes whizzing past on blind bends - not good for our health. No wonder they are called 'donors on wheels' here! I'e looked for your cousins road but not seen it so probably on the other side of Raglan to the way we go in.

They let me go early from work last night becuase it went quiet, so I got off at 21:20 instead of 22:00. That fitted in well with our plans because it gave us time to collect the Shogun from the house address whilst leaving the Smart car parked there and drive the Shogun back to our site. Had I finished work at 22:00 we would not have been able to make it back to the site before the barriers locked at 23:00. The earlier finish meant that we got back by 22:45 with 15 minutes to spare. So no need to collect the Shogun from the car park outside this morning! Very convenient!

Good, HD. Perhaps that might mean you'll no longer be hiding from us on this forum, like you did yesterday!

All my credit cards have balances at 0 per cent interest. However, the bank overdraft does cost me interest. Yes I agree bank loans are cheap in interest costs but if you are able to use your credit cards at 0 percent, that is even cheaper, in fact it's no cost at all, Bakers2.

Wet and very windy here today, just back from the washer dryer repair, fortunately the bit with the damaged screws did not need to be opened up as this time it was worn out motor brushes.
Repair man could not get the 2 most damaged screws out but has replaced others. Still nobody admitting to have damaged the screws!
Tap leak still there, there are 2 leaks on it, trying to source spares, otherwise it will be a new tap.
