my wife and I and cat are now in a position to travel through Europe and our dream is to get to Tenerife. We have a 16 year old motorhome  no air con we have had from new and caravaned before this for 11 years totalling 1600 nights done most of the U.K. Ireland twice , Isle of Man and the isle of Skye . But would appreciate any advice experiences you have encountered . We plan to be away  a long time with no plans on returning . Travelling through different countries what they require us to have on board. Info on gas , money , Aires, ferries, probably use c/mh insurance,

probably a load more info needed but at least this will get us started planning on going September 2018

thanks

Don’t carry too much cash, use something like a Halifax Clarity credit card, no commission, commercial exchange rate and safer than carrying cash.

Insurance may be a problem as you will be seeking 12 month cover at least as you say you have no plans to return. I'm assuming that you do in fact intend to return one day but do not want to be tied down to a date.

Similarly, if you have a home and have it insured you will find resistance to providing you with cover, so don't be surprised.
