I would think the main issue is any extension would have to have a water proof connector. If I had an EV, as we don't have an awning I would park next to our outside socket. This takes a plug and closes making it water tight. I assume the bit at the car end is also similarly protected. However, with an awning you would probably have to trail an extension under the van. The connection to the car lead would need protecting from water in some way. I suppose under the van should be reasonably safe. Although pitches do occasionally get waterlogged.

Simple, IP67 solves the problem.
Right, now can we get on with New Year's Eve? Have a good one.

Happy new year TW, but this is the charging electric vehicle thread, not one of the others on which this is being discussed. Although it is easy to forget what thread you are on at times.
I agree the solution is simple, but does need addressing.

Wasn’t it you earlier who said the subject had been done to death?

As it is a 2015 model caravan that has been regularly serviced each year, it too will have safety measures that have been subjected to rigorous testing.

I prefer a driving job because the experience of coping with varying traffic conditions is useful to me, especially as I rely on having the necessary driving skills because of using my caravan all the year round and having to tow it between sites fairly frequently.
Also fast food delivery driver work is easier for me to get because of having relevant experience and a track record of continuous employment in this trade.

I also have many years of driving and towing experience as almost everyone on here will have.
Getting a good job is not always easy and takes persistence but the end result is worth it. You seem to have given up and have chosen a job that is costing you thousands. Have you thought about the consequences of your EV finances if you are unable to carry on with your job anytime over the next 4 years.

Another question we need to ask the club is regarding charging business vehicles on site. I can understand them not charging for now EV used for leisure purposes, but what about people who stay on site and use their vehicles for business purposes, should they pay.

I'm sure I read somewhere your driving skills kerbed the car in fog causing premature wear of the tyres due to wheel misalignment Maybe driving inappropriately in poor conditions, or reading the delivery address maybe.
Whatever, I believe all you tell me even if it does change from page to page

Not quite the case, it would appear:
QUOTE:Today is Monday and I'm due back at work on Friday, so only a few days holiday left!
We'll be taking the caravan to the dealer servicing in Chipping Sodbury on 4th. Not all of the work is under warranty though. Luckily, Tesco Bank increased the credit limit on my credit card, so extra funds are available to foot the bill and extra points to go with it!
It will depend on what time they finish the work as to whether we'll get back to Lancing on Thursday afternoon or Friday morning. If it gets dark, I'll stop overnight at the services and wait until the morning daylight to arrive so that we have the benefit of daylight to pitch the caravan and set up the awning etc.
