Sorry everyone, but I just can't get into the electric v fossil fuel debate. Until our electricity is produced exclusively via none fossil fuels, and not via nuclear, which is just passing the buck to future generations, and that the production of all these new super duper vehicles also does not rely upon electricity from fossil fuels or exploitation of poorer nations, then it is an argument I shall happily bypass. Sorree!

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate tasty, fresh food, well cooked, piping hot and nicely presented
Mrs.WN to a "T", plus the added requirement of a hot plate (unless of course it's a salad).
I actually find that asking the staff about their approach to allergies helps buy us some time to get a feel of whether we want to stay, even though we've usually done some research beforehand.

Day off today.
All decorating finished, Christmas lights, tree and decorations now up and looking good ( did that yesterday)
Today we went down to Livingston, visit was 2 fold as we dropped off 2 presents for Gkids to their other Grannies house, she will be going down to stay with them for the festive season. The other was to go to the big retail outlet centre there and Ikea. Failed miserably in trying to spend some money only bought a cheese grater and a multi picture frame. Still nothing for OH Christmas present.
Love bubble and squeak, OH doesn't. He hates brussels, yesterday was the old folks Christmas lunch in the village, which of course he helps out at, only thing left on his plate was brussels.

OH had a Ultrasound liver scan, part of the checks for the eye melanoma. The radiologist said he couldn't see anything untoward........so time to put up the tree as we are starting to celebrate!
I have been seconded to being an elf escorting santa up to a children's cancer respite centre by boat! here's hoping for a dry Saturday!

At the moment we do still need nuclear, and we will need to find a way to deal with the waste.
Otherwise, we need more solar generation, more wind turbines and IMO more HEP.
There are more sites like Cruachan that could be developed to use the pumped storage scheme.
I think, was it this summer? in Scotland we had the first occasion when all our electricity was provided from renewables. We need to expand on that.

Arrived safe and sound at College Farm, Alkborough just after noon after an easy but mucky drive down from York. We're the only van on at the moment before others arrive over the weekend. We were fortunate that we were early as there has been long delays on the A63 heading towards the Humber Bridge this afternoon, when a crane struck a bridge, and blocked the road near South Cave.

Hoping to see a few different birds down on the Flats, Spoonbill maybe? We will be trying the cafe as well. Very popular by the look of it, as it was full this lunchtime. Just need to check the opening times during the holidays.
Have a good Christmas, OP.

Closed from Friday I think Nellie! I was talking to owners a few weeks ago. Very nice food by the way, nice comfy sofas inside as well. It was heaving with cyclists on the Sunday we were there, back in May. There are some interesting archeological finds from the village inside, and charity book/ dvds for sale.

I didn't say it was only there for that reason. It has always been agreed by my cousin that we could share his address for many reasons. We were told by my wife's visa solicitor that the tenancy agreement would need to be signed by him as this was one of the documents required along with many other documents. So to all intents and purposes, it is officially our address through which we receive all our mail and to the extent that even our cars are registered there and one of our cars is parked there as I type this. So it is not false information, it is true information. Also we store some of our belongings there, things that we don't need in the caravan including out of season clothes, suitcases and camping equipment that we used to use in our tent etc.
