How many more times are you going to go on & on & on about so called block bookers fatbelly. You have no idea who’s booked what.
Put your toys back in your pram and accept that others were more successful than you, simple as that.

I'm with you fatbelly, the system is crap when it comes to trying to book a honeypot site. I wouldn't call them block bookers, speculators is a better word. There will be cancelations for sure and those that want full weeks are unlikely to be get them.

Quite apart from the fact that you've no more evidence than any of the rest of us that this block booking faction exist, and the rather childish tone of your post, fb, am I not right in thinking that you recently stayed at Rowntree having originally booked Beechwood Grange? Presumably you managed to get Rowntree from a late cancellation? So the system worked for you then and may well do again next year with a bit of luck!

You did not manage to get your weekend at Rowntree. Does that mean you will have to stay home until next year?
How you claim the knowledge that it is down to other members who book and don't use the booking I have no idea. I also have no idea if all pitches were released for booking but I suppose that you know the answer to that as well.

i logged in at 8:00 but didnt get a slot till 8:40, all the time refreshing the screen and hitting the 'book' button.
Must be the way you hold your mouth BB
I have found that the system works with more fluidity year on year. I started trying at 8.15 and my 10 bookings done and dusted within 30 mins.

Am I seeing this wrong or are all the grievances about Rowntree Park bookings with maybe an occasional one about Baltic Wharf or Chatsworth which doesn't seem to have booked up as fast this year. We decided to avoid York except for winter a couple of years ago and try alternatives and it works. No problem booking a week in February and early March last September but you have to take the risk of cancellation or evacuation if it floods!
