Fog cleared so pegged out washing when home from the hairdresser. Delighted to say dried reasonably well 😆. Now pouring with rain 😲.

Thanks brue. We were hoping to head that way on Saturday, but it will depend on the weather, which isn't promising at the moment.

It was wet earlier on this morning, did dry up during the middle of the day but started raining again just as we were heading back to the van. However we did get done what we planned, if it was a bit restricted. Replenishing our stocks at Aldi in the morning, a walk along by Portland Marina and then a visit to Portland Castle, and finally a drive down to Portland Bill and a 3/4hr walk around the common and along the front.

I'm being allowed Friday "off" as we have run out of paint.  OH has given me a list of things to do in our house instead.

At least my aching arms will get a bit of a rest.

Perhaps one coat of paint will be enough, the boss will decide when she gets home from holiday on Saturday.

I still have the "nursery" and at least one bathroom to paint.

I didn't know about that. It was late at night, dark and foggy at the time it happened and the only number I could find was the number inside the door, which was unavailable when I tried to use it.

The only thing that I really don't like about the van is the new one piece door instead of the stable door. When inside the caravan we often left the top half of the door open. Suppose we will just open the window over the dinette instead though. Many caravans seem to have the one piece doors rather than, as in the past, stable doors

We have a stable door on our c/van but because it also has a fly screen if you want to use that to keep flys/midges out we have to open both parts of the door as it fouls the doorundecidedfrown

Looks like you have nice deep seats with the Lunar. OH helped a friend collect his new Coachman last week and it had similar good depth to the seats, very comfortable when I tried it! So that's three new van owners I've heard of this week. smile

Wet and windy start this morning  when out with Rosa,(not that it bothered her)

Local Academy? (Comprehensive)school started their half term break two days early by having "inset" days yesterday and today, noticed that staff car park has also been empty on both daysundecided

While posting this watching tv breakfast, caught a news item that UK apprentices had come in with winning several top spots in a wordlwide competion ,so all the knockers need to think what they say

Just a tad windy last night surprised and the storm hasn't arrived yet. Much quieter this morning so the awning is coming down today. We don't leave until Sunday thank goodness wouldn't fancy travelling during storm Brian that's due tomorrow.  Hoping to get to the cider farm this morning, take home a few "rattler" cans.

Congratulations on the new van EasyT.

I am recovering from a series of on going illnesses.  3 doctors appointments this week alone and two more booked for next week.  I hope it stops soon, as I would dearly love to go away for a few days without problems.

Normally post in the Pointless Page but this time I have a RESULT!!!

Had dreadful trouble with our Broadband connection and general telephone line and finally found someone at BT who agreed with us, so they sent a new Hub just in case it was the old one causing the problem but more pertinently sent an engineer to investigate the awful crackling we get on the line and the BB being cut off any time someone rings us or we ring out. He left yesterday after spending 2 hours replacing wires in the box at the foot of the telegraph post (in the rain poor lad) and with fingers and everything else that is still able to be crossed I can say that it looks like it might jut have done the trick. We did supply him with coffee.

Had to laugh when we showed the young man the phone that we used to use when we first moved in here, remember the old dial ones made of Bakelite? We tried plugging it in and it still works!

Yep what we like is the lengths as well, For us remove end and back cushions and we have a comfortable 2' 5'' by 6' 4'' singles.  actually leave my back cushion in place as I have plenty of room still.

It was the comfy long/deep high back seats that attracted us to our Pegasus Genoa that could be used as two singles or large double, plus the flush fit cupboard doors instead of , like some, just hung on outside of the frames

It is strange that we never considered using the front seats as beds on our 2005 Swift Charisma. It had an end dinner that we kept made up as a bed except when away over Christmas. We used to use a porch awning and dine in there. We don't like a full table at the front and use the pull out mainly for snacky type meals and one of the reasons for wanting a side dinette was that we no longer use an awning. Daft really as we could have just used the rear diner and slept on front seats which were about 6' 2'' I think.

The only time we actually used them as singles was for two nights at home to try the concept before buying the Clubman ES in 2012.

Ordered the 50kg MPTLM and water ingress extension to 10 years.
