Appalling weather today. Wet and windy. Since midnight we have had 1.03 inches of rain, with frequent gusts about 40 mph. The screen shot shows the situation about 1 pm.

Oh Goldie yuk. Can't imagine that much falling.

Grey here with early glimpse of sun but that soon vanished! Stiff breeze. Dried a couple of loads of washing, which had a bit of a cold smell when I got it in soon after lunch.

Listened to 1255 weather forecast no rain for us until after dark. Leave half a dozen almost dry bits to finish off outside whilst we visit elderly aunt to cut her grass. She lives literally 8 minutes away in the car. We are in the valley she at the top, bear in mind this is Essex so we're not talking high 😂. About 5 minutes after leaving fine mizzly appears on the windscreen. Arrive and OH attacks the grass, the mizzle gets worse and eventually mizzle  so bad he has to wait. Lasted 5 minutes or so. Allowed the wind a bit of time to dry it a bit he finished off. We had chat and cuppa. Expected washing that was almost dry to be wet, but we'd had no rain and last bits of washing were dry 😆.

After cutting back plants we have realised just how dry our soil is 😲.  Sometimes it looks for all the world that it will rain any mo and nothing appears. I'm not sure but I reckon all around us gets a dose of rain but not us.

Lovely day here today, took the motorhome up to Aberdeen (Dyce) for its habitation service. Decided to go up with OH this time as we had been warned that the water would be off for most of the day. So instead of him getting the bus back we hitched up the car and A frame and took that with us. Had a chat with the team up there and a good look around at the new and used vans. Saw a caravan, that if we were in the market for one, we would have bought.

Nice drive back down the coast road to Dundee lovely sunshine coming through the clouds over the hills very pretty, autumn well and truly in evidence everywhere. Had a look at an ebike place in Dundee but haven't bought yet as there is a few more we want to look at and try first. Lunch out so just a snack tea tonight. Oh busy doing the 'books' for the village hall, they seem to be in a good position.

It's been a busy few days at home and work.  Collected caravan this afternoon , parts have arrived for a modification to the sky light, Elddis apparently have had a problem with a few of them. Its going in to have it done tomorrow. Won't bother taking it back to storage as off to Cornwall at the weekend.smile

Easy drive down to Somerset, a bit of drizzle on the way but sunshine when we got to the CL. All set up and Flyte walked by 1:00. We had the odd shower of rain late afternoon but forecast is for good weather tomorrow.

They found the missing key and delivered the Shogun back to us at the Brighton club site with both keys. After that we drove the Smart car back to Northbrook Farm. Luckily someone else there was able to give us a lift back to the site in Brighton. So now we just have to hitch up and return our outfit to Northbrook Farm. We plan to leave here at about 11:30 a.m.

Good to hear they found your key, one less thing to worry about.

Hope you get good weather for the move.

Today has started fine here, hopefully it will stay that way for a change

Same here in the Lot OP as we have a military camp 6 miles away makes our pictures move on the wall when the big guns go off.

Weather is lovely and warm at present after a chilly week although dry in Northumberland, stayed with friends a very interesting county as we had not been there before but would go again so much to see.

Bike ride for us today, along Grand Union Canal. Very interesting, good weather as well. We are trying to decide what to see on way home tomorrow........

A day of sunshine and heavy showers in the end.  Car insurance renewed....for the first time in ages the current provider was the most reasonable.

Blood test at doctors to try to find out why my B12 is so low.

Otherwise just pottering in the garage.

Yes, I was most relieved to hear that they had found it. We had excellent weather for the move back to Worthing. It took the whole of the afternoon to complete the awning so it was getting dark by the time we went shopping in Tesco.

Dull and damp here. I see the Keswick camp site was on the weather news last night due to possible flooding, hope all are ok. What's happened to the hurricane news, that doesn't sound to good either or has it veered away from the UK?

Dull and wet here earlier, rain now stopped. Rather mild with a warm breeze feels strange, trees across the road have all but shed their leaves but my silver birches have a long way to go yet. Would like to give grass a cut but its just toooooo wet underfoot, doesn't stop the numpty next door though he's chewing up the lawn good style.

Went to see Mum again in her new home, that's 3 visits now and have to say I'm glad we made the move. The new home is so much better, always lots of staff around, the place has more of a buzz about it and they are all such happy folk, does make a big difference when its time to leave.

Sun has come out now looks nice, need to get on though as we will have to sort our clothes for packing for Malta only 2 days left until we go.

OH saw the specialist yesterday about his shoulder, time for the Op says he. Not going to happen overnight though 4 -6 months more like, which will just be around the time of our trip to Lanzarote so it will have to be after that holiday as its a 6-8 week recovery. Which will then impact on our spring trip to France/Italy, good job I haven't booked a ferry. Looks like I might get to see what my garden looks like in April/May next year laughing

I've booked us a 2 wees villa break to Nerja mid November, we should have been there with the van around that time but had to change plans. Seeing as we know now that OH won't be in for his Op until later thought we would just go anyway, can't take the m/h as we have other commitments but decided we won't miss out wink
