Sites near Spanish Ports

We arrive in Santander at 17.30 on 6 January.  We had the intended travelling to the site at Haro however it is closed on 6th.  We are travelling to Costa Blanca so can go via Zaragoza or Madrid.  Does anyone know of any campsites open with late arrival or a safe location to stay overnight.  We are towing a caravan.

    weve stayed there....a wonderful place to overnight.

    its free (a Spanish 'aire') and has plenty of room in the car park, just have a look at the road in on google maps, as tpu reach the small village, the road narrows a bit and you follow a one way system down to the car park....

    definitely something a bit different.....a bit like parking in Longleat....wink
