Hahaha out of the mouths of babies. You gotta love 'em 😉.
I'm the same age, but got there first, I can still remember wondering why people wanted to live past 30, that was so old 😂😂. Now I'm telling my aunt you're only 78, how things change!
I'm sure you don't look a day older than your tongue 😉

Cooler greyer and duller here too 😲. Quite a shock to the system but still 16c outside. No sundress today but 3/4's and shortsleeved t-shirt., not what long term forecast was for this week! Been some rain here but not amounted to much so far, hear the next 2 villages from my my mum towards us had torrential rain yesterday, so obviously very localised.
Gathering bits for our trip to local CL starting tomorrow and ensuring house is nice and clean to come back to. Car just off for aircon. So an hour to myself too might play hookey just for a while to celebrate 😉
Safe trip Oneputt and enjoy your travels. Enjoy your day folks

Rain overnight, some sun, and now heavy rain again, hope it does not last too long!
Started looking out stuff to go in the caravan. Car picked up for service just after 9am, will be delivered back between 3 and 5pm.
Now trying to summon the enthusiasm to get started packing the van once I have flushed through the water system. Not doing it in the rain!
OH is in charge of food, bedding etc and clothes, so will be doing a fair bit of last minute washing to ensure we have enough clothes to do the trip without having to wash anything. Not taking our little twin tub with us on this trip, but we could always use a site machine if necessary.
The breadmaker is coming instead.
If we were not booked in at Truma to get the mover fixed, we would be tempted to cancel this trip due to the weather.

I would dearly love to enjoy my day, B2, but I'm just waiting 4 the last load of drying to finish, then I can set up for the { groan groan } ironing so I can sit and scowl ferociously at it as I have my lunch. Would you believe it, I'm seriously missing the G D S F already Sniffle, sob, sob

Thanks robsail
We knew the schools were already back on your side of the border, but were surprised by the lack of families from south of the border!
It was a cool, grey start to the day here. It quickly cleared out and warmed up though ... Plenty of blue sky and sunshine now. Just back from a lovely walk on the beach

Enjoy. I'm not jealous 😉. We live in the driest county and we needed some moisture we've had it now thanks 😂. Hopefully normal service will be resumed tomorrow 😉. It hasn't been half as bad as they forecast. Reckoned it would up to 18 hours, been about 6 where we are. Garden is delighted 😃
Edit I lied. It's still raining just very straight and steadily.

Went to see my best friend this afternoon (we have been best friends since we were 12) as she has just got home from hospital. Admitted at the weekend with a pulmonary embolism and a heart rate of 160. Now on beta blockers (for the rest of her life) and a tablet a day to disperse and then prevent any further blood clots. She looks pale and tired. You never know what life is going to throw at you do you.

Milliehull you are so right we never know what life will send us. Best wishes to your friend for a hood recovery.
I saw a death notice in the local paper and thought the name rang a bell. Spoke to our son yesterday and he confirmed it was a girl he went through school with, 29 years old, diagnosed July, wedding bought forward, driving home complained of pain, into hospice and died the following day. NEVER take life for granted. 😢😢. My heart goes out to her family.
Edit my post crossed with Husky's

You are so right Bakers2. So very sorry to hear about the young lady who was at school with your son. Absolutely tragic at such a young age.
My friend and I have shared such epic times over the years. Night clubbing years ago, great holidays at home and abroad, boyfriend ups and downs, all our family celebrations (and tragedies). It was quite shattering to see her looking so ill today.

Same goes for me, too, Husky. Thinking about you and your family.

We've started booking our next trip. Blackburn to get the car services then N.Wales, West Wales, Pembrokeshire, The Gower & near Cardiff booked and waiting for word from CL near Taunton. That will do for the time doing and then decided which way to go depending on the weather.

Have you decided on your route from Uttoxeter, yet? Did you manage to find a site at York?
I'm sure that the weather will pick up for your trip and you have a good one.
