Bathroom decorating today, no paper to hang just a freshen up of the ceiling and coving. New roller blind to fit and all the tiles are getting a good wash and polish up. Should look nice and clean once finished.

That's 3 rooms done since we came back, just got a little over 2 weeks until we go away again so the lounge will have to wait until we come back again.

The new Velux attic room windows are due to be fitted in a weeks time so we need to go and sort out that room in prep. Also now the back porch into the utility room has been replaced with a lovely new PVC door and windows the utility room needs to be be freshened up and tidied. OH is going to move my tumble drier to another wall and vent it through the wall outside. Some of the old cupboards are going to the tip and new ones found/made. Lots of work still to be done but at least it keeps us fit and healthy wink

Weather still a mixed bag, sun, clouds, wind no rain today so far thank goodness still not what you would call a summer though. Hope others are fairing better.

That's right. It only works on mains electric now. You can't change it over to gas or battery for towing. It's a Dometic model. I should get a reply on Monday.

I've arrived at work a bit early today because of less traffic on the road. So a little bit of time left to catch up on the posts here. The weather seems fair too. I imagine many customers might prefer to do their own barbecues in the garden this evening, so perhaps it won't be too busy!

I seem to have spent most of the day under the kitchen sink trying to find a leak in the waste pipes. Having dismantle everything it took me some time to work out how it all went back together!!! Eventually managed that but leak now worse and discovered a split in the pipe for the sink overflow. Two trips to B&Q and one to Wickes proved unsuccessful so had to make it up as I went along and I have temporarily blanked off the overflow drain and given Margaret strict instruction not to fill the sink or squirt bleach down the overflow as it ain't connected!!! Probably won't be able to move in the morning!!!

Busy at a local flower show today, OH and I won a prize each for tomatoes and a pot plant. laughing Another show next week, might put a few more entries in, the garden has picked after the rain so should be able to find some better things. Nice time of the year for village shows, always bright and cheerful to wander round.

Finally finished those drawers, took much longer than I expected, and they still need final adjustment before OH takes them into use.

Also been to DD's house to punch in some nails in her door facings, and feed and play with the budgies.

The owners will be home soon from their short break in London.

Back to work on Monday for both of them, school holidays nearly over up here.

After much deliberation we decided on Sandringham for our week in September as haven't been for a couple of years. I looked on the website and there was no more than 3 nights for our preferred dates. Mr H decided to ring the site - no problem said the warden so we are all booked for the week we wanted. Always worth speaking directly to the wardens on site.😊

We are all packed and ready for our week at Houghton Mill. We leave in the morning. We just need the weather to behave itself.

I can't see it either Brue. Sometimes I can't move a post but the next day I can so wonder if they do something overnight which sorts these things out?

I could see it shortly after you changed it.  Not immediately, but I went to another page and then returned to this one.....and there it was.

    Very nice it is too!

I had a busy night last night. I finally finished at 23:30 and it was midnight by the time I got back to the caravan. The last delivery was in Shoreham in an unlit street and property with just a name no number. I had a hard job finding it and there was traffic too! Don't people sleep at night?

Lovely sunny morning. I spotted a few shooting stars last night in the meteor shower, harder to see when the moon rose a bit later. More tonight if the sky is clear. smile

well back last night from a fantastic stay in Fuerteventura. Amazing weather, topping 40C for a few days but down to 20C at night and early morning so the best of both worlds. It's funny how people were 'grumbling' that the temperature fell to 29C one day!

Saw a number of motorhomes and caravans which I assume came from Spain just parked up by the beaches. The funny thing was on the caravans we saw, they didn't unhitch it when obviously set up for the night? (They had the steadies down door open).

Anyway left yesterday morning with 34C, landed at Newcastle with 15C.

40 degrees celsius with no air-conditioning? How do you cope? Rather you than me! Newcastle's 15 degrees is more the ticket for me!

It' sunny here in Worthing this morning but nice and cool. That's the way I like it!

Would agree with you on the 40 Malcolm. However 15 is not a good summer temperature. Much better today in Notts closer to 20.

22 / 25  and low humidity is my ideal.

A glorious warm summer day - so we are taking advantage of it and getting the rest of our 3rd cut silage. It could be a late night as rain is forcast for 7:00 tomorrow, so we have to get it all.

Meanwhile, I'm the last of the big spenders. My husband uses a cheap Casio watch for work, and noticed it had  stopped this morning. So he opened it to check what battery it uses, then dropped it in his tea. So I've ordered another from Amazon (well, two actually just in case). £6.36 each and delivered tomorrow.

P.S. Maybe, just maybe, there might be a small window of opportunity for a brief caravan trip next week. Especially if it's raining!

Spent some time today working at the tree stump in the garden. We cut the tree down last Autumn. Or rather I helped my son cut it down. I have been working away at it, on and off, since. Have just about mined underneath it and cut through numerous feeder roots. Today it was possible to rock it back and forward, but myself and OH could not contribute enough force to break it free. I will have to wait until he has time to come and get on the other side and I think it will go. Then it's just a case of getting rid of it. I think given the weight we will have to cut it into smaller sections.

This morning I got an email from Argos to say my head torch was ready for collection. So we went into the store to collect it. Then we came back home for lunch and since then I've been asleep for most of the afternoon.  I only had five hours sleep last night as it was 02:00 a.m. by the time I got to bed.  We had had dinner at 12:30 a.m. last night!
