Not sure about the Worthing area, but our town now has plenty of NHS dentists taking on new patients,  it's worth checking. A few years ago if was almost impossible.

I wish our new caravan had only taken 3 months from order to collection!  With the delays ours was 8 months!!! yell I certainly couldn't live in a tent that long.

Been catching up on here,as woke early this morning. Not a good day yesterday more computer problems at work, hoping the IT guy rings back today, or the wages might not get done. surprised

Brue: your post and picture made me slightly  jealous,  have a great time.

Supposed to be heading off later this afternoon with the van,  only local. Looks like OH will be taking the van and I will join him later if I get work computer fixed! Think I'am going to need a bit of down time after this week. undecided Not been the best.

Hope everyone has a great weekend whatever your doing. smile

So were we! We were told when we ordered it that it would be 6 months, collection was April,  but we finally collected it mid June.Only a week before our holiday! Mind you I blame the dealers for most of the delay. We found out that the van was ready at the factory at the end of April. Things never go to plan, luckily we still had our old van to use.

We had croissants for breakfast this morning as well as yesterday morning because we found them at reduced price at Tesco, so bought 8 for 8 pence. We had two each this morning at a cost of 4 pence. Where else can you get breakfast for two for four pence these days?

Tricky have a good time. We'll have to keep up lots of hot air this side of the country to ensure what East's described away 😂😂😂

Bright, chilly and breezy here today.  The weather has changed just as the schools break up.yell.  We had 2 of the grandsons yesterday as they broke up on Wednesday.  The schools here haven't co-ordinated as usual so are breaking up at different times this week which is making life difficult.  We decided to take their little cocker spaniel (now 6 months old!) for a walk to their local playing fields so she could have a good walk and the boys could play football.  Unfortunately the heavens opened when we were half way there so a shortened walk and no football. We took the boys to the museum in the afternoon to see the exhibition about Must Farm which they found really interesting.  Hair appointment followed by a vet's appointment today and also finally finish all the holiday ironing.

Have a good weekend Triky and everyone else who is away.  Hope the weather is kind to you all.

The sleepers I ordered on Monday, to rebuild some garden steps, were delivered this morning, originally they were supposed to take 2 weeks as they are a non standard size.

So now I need to move them so they do not disappear when we are out later, they are right by the pavement.  Will need to get them out of sight.

OH has decided we are going to John Lewis in town to look at ovens, she has seen on line that they have some of the ones on her "shortlist", then later we are making a pile of scones for a baby shower DD is going to tomorrow.

She now has one friend who has already had a baby, and 2 friends that are due in September and October, so we are hoping she may be getting the idea that it is time she got a move on!

Wet and windy in Cumbria.  Went into Appleby, lovely little town, lots of independant shops.  Watched the local butchers put on a cooking demonstration, all local produce.

We went shopping in Worthing town centre. Perhaps healthier purchases this time, EasyT, of bitter gourd.

Next we parked at the car park on the Goring sea front and visited the mobile fishmonger there. After that we drove to Goring Gap and parked next to the woods there, that lead to the sea front. We walked along the sea front towards Ferring. There was a lovely cool sea breeze so much more comfortable for walking. We then walked up the footpath alongside Ferring village before returning via the same path.

We're now back at the caravan, lunch is cooking, perhaps less healthy,  burger and chips for lunch but enjoyable, nevertheless. Then perhaps an afternoon out at WWT in Arundel. At the moment perfect weather for it. Sorry the weather's not so good in South Wales, EasyT but it's a lovely place to be when the weather is good with the magnificent coastline of the Gower peninsula and the Brecon Beacons further inland.

I agree with Oneputt - it's wet and windy in Cumbria. It's OK for me I'm indoors, but not so pleasant for the outdoor workers - but nowhere near as bad as it could be.

I'm in the process of updating a Manual that covers all the business related stuff I do on the computer. There's lots that only I do, and this is a sort of insurance policy (i.e. I hope it will never be needed by my unplanned ability to do it). Lots of screenshots and arrows etc.

Very good idea Goldie. Yes Brue you do need this sort of thing. We have all such info and a list of details of our bank accounts and more importantly certificate based savings all stored in a black box. For years we said to the kids, and still do to son, you know where to find everything. The reply is usually along the lines "it's all been there for years, it lives in the same place. Do you think I forget" 😉😉

It's not just the kids who will one day need the info but hubby if anything happens to me 😲😢. More important than the wills I think???

Lovely walk this morning with holiday dog. Sadly he constipated, hubby has resolved that now, defo boy job 😂😂.

Done a bit of food shopping. now about to make fresh fruit salad, self crusting quiche and chop veg for our own version of spag bol/pasta with sauce. Always makes loads so plenty to freeze - always tastes better for freezing too. Very handy for motorhome trips.

Really lovely summers day here . Hope those of you that had rain are now enjoying nicer weather.

Just to give everyone a good laugh. I swopped both mine and son's SIM card to 4g (get cheaper deals as family 😉 his is even cheaper! He pays I save it for him 😉). And better tariff last Friday.  First card arrived Monday, posted to son. He rang latish last night to ask what I'd done, as he'd followed instructions but it didn't work. He phoned company but I didn't hear outcome. He is on work charity golf day so out of contact, but phone diverts straight to voicemail not goes to voicemail. Another SIM arrives today and I read the inside blurb. Realise I may, almost certainly have, sent him my new SIM. Contact his fiancé who's harvesting she finds it funny and confirms he hadn't got it working but he not in until late tonight! Confirm with supplier I was a fool. Now waiting to see if I can post his up, he uses it for work too, (I like to make a good job of things 😂😂😂😂) or whether we need to drive 1.5 hours to him, meet halfway etc. Added with extra of holiday dog. So much for savings - be a while before they kick in.

Made the chap at Virgin's day as I couldn't stop laughing. He said so nice to have a happy call. No I think the word he was looking for was manic!! He asked my age and I said rude to ask a 'lady' so he said he'd guess if that was OK fine says I he reckons 34, told him he right flatterer as son is 29. 😂😂

I hope I've cheered your day too?

Wild  'n  Windy  in  the  County  Palatine  today,  with  the  occasional  Wet  thrown  in  for  good  measure!

Thank  you  for  the  giggles  B2,  needed  that  after  almost  burning  down  the  workshop ( shed)  !!  It  was  shewing  signs  of  rot  so  I  got  some  tubes  of  silicone  sealant  in  order  to  start  repairs  but  it  needed  drying  out  first.  Obviously  a  qualified  Handy berk  like  me  knew  the  ideal  tool  to  use was  a  hot  air  gun  like  a  paint  stripper  and  there  was  one  sitting  on  the  shelf  so  it  was  put  to  good  use.  The  one  thing  I  forgot  to  check  was  that  it  was  on  the  lowest  heat  setting  embarassed.  After  a  couple  of  minutes  all  was  drying  nicely  even  the  little  bits  of  rotten  wood  that  were  blown  off  the  surface  by  the  hot  air.  Alas  I  realised  then  they  were  not  nice  dry  bits  they  were  nice  dry  and  smoking  bits.  Out  with  the  paint  brush,  dipped  into  the  nearest  bird  bath  &  put  out  the  sparks. Took  me  ages  afterwards  to  dry  it  again  on  lowest,  hairdryer  level  heat  but  at  least  its  sealed  against  water  ingress  now.  If  I  get  time  this  W/end  I'll  tidy  the  inside  of  the  area  &  seal  that  so  I  can  give  it  all  a  good  coat  of  spray  paint  when  the  touring  season  is  over  more  or  less.  Hey  Ho,  how  our  plans  go  belly  up  --  just  enough  to  remind  us  we  are  not  half  as  clever  as  we  think  !

I was confused. I was looking for Tommy Sopwith's J Class.

My day was primarily taken up with OH carting me off into town for a new pair of shoes. Not that, IMHO, I need them. As the shop had a sale on I now have two pairs of the same design in different colours. I'll never get the mileage out of them. She can't resist a bargain. So if anyone is wondering who the well-shod cadaver is at some future date, it will probably be me.

Managed to get a few jobs done inside today, flipping cold out now and I've put the heating on for a warm through.

Been busy printing off some photos for Mum and putting in frames. Don't know what happens to them but they keep going missing, then they turn up all battered and dog eared. Thankfully when she went into the home we scanned the photos she had chosen to take first, so now its just a case of printing off and re framing.

Managed to start on another doorway in the dining room, first and second undercoat done, might even need a third as it was previously Mahogany, now white (ish) really going to miss all the wood surrounds and skirting boards but they don't go with the oak doors so they have to be white now. Found some nice paper for 1 feature wall, all others will be painted, same as kitchen. Just need to find a nice roller blinds for the kitchen.

OH took his old ebike to the bike Charity place this afternoon along with our GS's first bike, they said they are always happy to take in any bikes no matter what condition as they will either do them up (and sell), strip and use for spares, or use them to teach others how to work on bikes, good project I think.

Not sure what the weekends brings but for all those going away and those coming back safe travels.

That is such a good idea brue, especially as Mr H doesn't 'do' the Internet. I must do a list of passwords and related info for our 3 children in case they need to access our accounts etc. That will go on my immediate 'to do'list.
