CMC new signage
I know this has been discussed previously and at length but when you see the old and new signs together you have to wonder who on earth thought this was a good idea.

I'm sure we've all been there, trying to find the CL, diligently using directions given, but ultimately looking for the sign, for me at least the old sign was like a shining beacon compared to this new sign, do they think we're all on foot, or carrying binoculars, probably designed by someone who has never visited a CL in their lives, doesn't stand out at all, very poor.

The object of a sign or logo is instant recognition.when visiting a cl we all look for the familiar signwhich has stood the test of time.last week we stopped near our location and looked for the familiar sign. We failed to notice the new one under our nose

We went to the York Beechwood site (lovely) but missed the turn off at the roundabout due to the insignificant new logo. It needs to be bold and bigger ! This is especially true as the sign may be displayed with 2 or 3 others at the same point.

It's mainly white.
White is bright and stands out.
It ain't gonna change so keep looking for the white and bright. You'll get there.

I quite like the new logo and the ,at last, introduction of motorhomes to the logo .I think it's a lot more modern and current ,but I do agree that the actual signs should be larger and more visible on the roadside.

A couple of CLs that I have visited this year have felt the need to put out extra home made signs or A boards to complement the new CMC ones.
I understand the need to change but more thought should have been given to the design.

Ah well, it’s a year old now. Guess we'll live with it.

I don't like the new signs but the decision was made so that's it. What I don't understand is that after all the furore when the signs were introduced there are still sites not using them. Cirencester displays the old signs off the Stroud road. I watched a vlog today of a motorhome arriving at Edinburgh site where the old signage was still in use. It was a recent vlog because the motorhome was displaying the new logo on the windscreen. Clearly the signs haven't been rolled out across the entire organisation, why?

You know, the ones that have been around for ages now. The attractive reddish/brown ones.

I prefer the old logo. I have a now obsolete expensive tax disc holder glued to my windscreen, and I recently found a piece of literature with the old logo on it. I am now going to transfer this onto my computer and produce a suitably sized copy to put in the tax disc holder. The new logo reminds me of one of those funeral insurance ads which regularly crop up on afternoon TV!

LT, it won’t be long before nobody remembers the old logo. Time to move on I think.

Not sure about that. There are a lot of memorabillia pundits out there, and the degree of initial booing to the new logo by members suggests a probable urge to keep the old logo alive in some form.

It’s been quiet on that topic for months!
I guess some people like to hang on to the past while others of us move forward.
