A van driver has been killed when he hit the back of lorries which had been stopped by a road block made from tree trunks dragged  into the road by migrants, so take extra care if you're catching a late night/early morning ferry from Calais. See here on the BBC website

    Avoid Dover/Calais entirely if possible!

No problems at the Tunnel last Wednesday in France just extra security.

We too had no problems at the Tunnel last week - apart from being searched by 3 soldiers armed with machine guns! No seriously it was just a quick look in the front locker box and a peek inside - mind you, they didn't bother with the toilet/shower area which has its own door???

Had the Van driver driven slower maybe he would not of gone into the Lorries that were stopped . Same principle for here in the Uk .It is  a possibility that Lorries etc are going to be stopped therefor think ahead .

We were also checked at Calais but as reported above they looked in  the wardrobes but totally missed the end bathroom as the door was closed. I could hide a half dozen in there if so inclined . I'm not.

At least they're going through the motions.

We were checked at Calais last week when returning all they done was look inside the doorway of my caravan but why do people travel of a night I always stay at a site about 50 or 60 miles from Calais and catch an afternoon ferry home.

Last month I posted that migrants were checking the back of an HGV for access....they were at least 2 hours from Calais.

No problem wherever you are as long as you are vigilantwink
