What are you all up to

Well it looks like I won't be seeing the light unless I can find an electrician!

The bulbs are very small, similar size to Christmas tree decorative lights, but they don't seem to be loose.

Start off doing the simple things Malcolm !
If the shower lights work then remove ( carefully !!) one of them & put it into the bathroom fitting & see if it works there. If it does you obviously have a blown bulb, if it does not try putting the washroom bulb into the shower room fitment.
DO NOT PROD WITH METAL ITEMS OR POINTY FINGERS !!

The shower lights look very different from the washroom lights with a different kind of fitting and bulbs, so it doesn't look like they can be interchanged.

If it's like the bulbs in the washroom of our Cadiz, they are LED's, with as you say several elements. The unit could well have failed or perhaps a connection worked loose. As you have more than one light in the bathroom, so are not in the dark😉, I would check that the problem is not as mentioned, and if necessary source a replacement, before going to the expense of calling an electrician.
Also if it is not just a failed unit, it may still be covered by your warranty.

I think that might mean another trip to Chipping Sodbury Caravans. If only this could have happened two days ago whilst we were there, it could have been fixed then.

Our 21 days will be over on 1st July when we need to spend two nights away before returning to Worthing, so I'll have to see which days off on my rota for that last week and use those days to make the trip to Chipping Sodbury followed by two nights stay at Cirencester Park club site.
I'll have to hope that the shower lights don't fail in the meantime. Luckily, we have long hours of daylight at this time of year, so it's only a problem for the short night time hours.
Having said that, I can't help noticing that the hours of darkness are longer here than where we were in Scotland, even though it's getting nearer the summer solstice!

The other option would be to go there whilst I'm still on holiday, perhaps a couple of days before returning to work but that would mean having to take the awning down again in less than 10 days time and then putting it back up two days later!

I'm afraid I'm having one of my sleepless nights tonight!

We've decided to go back to Chipping Sodbury Caravans to get the washroom light fixed on Friday which will mean staying two nights on Cirencester Park club site i.e. Friday and Saturday night if there are available pitches. Unfortunately, the online booking system isn't working at the moment so I'll have to try again later.
After that we can get back to our seasonal pitch on Northbrook Farm club site and not have to move again for another 21 nights.

Are they able to do it then? Although our dealer will do there best in an emergency, they are very busy at this time of year, and less urgent things can take a while.
Late availability shows 52 Friday, 31 Saturday, so you should have no problem when it's back online.

Just on a break from my bathroom cleaning duties.😀
Tewksbury is 15 miles further from Chipping Sodbury than Cirencester and more difficult to get into at short notice. Cheltenham race course would be an alternate at only 6 miles further.
However, before spending upwards of £100 would it not be best to just check it yourself first. Or as suggested get a mobile engineer, it would probably work out cheaper. The thing is if you go back to the dealer, it may not be a warranty repair and if the unit needs replacing, they may not have one in stock, as there are so many variations. When we needed a new tap for our Abbey, it took over 4 weeks to get the correct part and in the meantime we operated with a bodge up.

Malcolm - if you're really going to take the van to Chipping Sodbury have a look at Horseshoe farm CL - it's just down the road from there. And you'd have Chipping Sodbury itself, which is a delightful small town , and NT Dyrham Park right on your doorstep so you could have a great couple of days break. But I agree with the suggestions above, get someone local to where you are to come and do the job!

The booking system came back online soon after I last posted on here so I've completed the booking for Cirencester Club site for two nights. I also sent an email to Chipping Sodbury Caravans to let them know that I'll be there Friday afternoon. I need to see them anyway as they forgot to stamp the service booklet when we had it serviced.

It's good to see fellow members offering help and suggestions. New van owners reading this will know there are various ways of getting things repaired, whether under warranty or not and it doesn't involve vast amounts of travel and inconvenience. Sometimes dealers will even send a part to you if you are competent at fitting things, OH has done this with our van to avoid extra travel and time wasting.

Thanks, Mr. Route. We had mobile servicing done last year by S&G. When they came to do it, they said they would prefer 4 weeks notice. It was very convenient, I agree, but as we have already had a service done this year by Chipping Sodbury and need to go there to get the book stamped to validate the warranty, we might as well get the light fixed at the same time.
This is a convenient time as I'm still on holiday and have time to travel to get things done.

The good news is I just got a reply from Chipping Sodbury workshop to say its fine for us to call in on Friday to have it done.

So all sorted now! I've arranged with them to be there between 2 to 3 p.m. and put 4 to 6 as ETA at Cirencester club site on my booking.

Hello Chris, I remember meeting you at Cirencester club site on one of our stays there. You had Harry with you and it was a hot day and it seemed as though he was feeling the heat then! It's a bit cooler and surely more comfortable for him now.

Malcolm one thing's for certain you'll not gather any Moss as the old proverb goes 😉. At least you get to see plenty of roads as you travel as well as towing practice 😂😂. I think your wife is very tolerant at packing up and moving on. You seem to be having a very itinerant lifestyle this holiday 😉 even if it's not Scotland.
I do hope you get it fixed at no further cost than fuel and site fees.
Is it not possible to send book via recorded delivery for updating for warranty purposes? That plus mobile engineer probably less financially and more leisurely. Still each to their own.
I'm sitting in the sun in the garden indulging myself with catch up on here and a bowl of cherries. I like this retirement life 😂.
