Think the writing is on the wall for Championship football in Hull, next season. How on earth did they manage to lose to Sunderland, at home, yesterday????? Plus, Swansea's win has added to their troubles.  Marco Silva really is going to have to perform a miracle if they are to survive in the Premier League.

It's because Sunderland totally bottled it this season and for once they could just go out and play footy for the shirt and the fans. Typical, it's been the same for the last 50 years of supporting them!  Hope we keep Moyse and bring in some of our lads, our under 23s are in the Euro final so there's hope for the future so long as the big boys don't come in with the big money. Don't worry though, we'll probably do the same to Swansea on Saturday!

Unfortunately, Geoff, you were wrong in your last comment and it looks as if my doom and gloom was justified.  Really can't see City winning at Palace this lunchtime, given their appalling away performance this season. Just have to wait and see but if they do win, it really will be a miracle.  But then there's the problem of Spurs!!foot-in-mouth

Oh dear we've now got to do it the hard way, 0-0 is a result of sorts given our recent form against Wednesday, but I can't see us winning at Hillsborough. Ah well we can look forward to another fairly local derby at Hull next season.UTT

What do I know. Playoffs are definitely bad for your nerves, but penalty shoot-outs are infinitely worse.

What a team! 😍Off to Wembley

Phew! Great result Terriers! I listened to the commentary on 5 Live and it seemed that Wednesday had the upper hand for most of the match. The penalty trauma had me squirming. I bet your 'keeper is well pleased. Reading will be tough as they'll be under pressure to impress their new Chinese billionaire owners. Fingers crossed for you cool

I don't think they can have been watching the same match as me Spriddler! The stats show Town had more possession, more shots on target, more corners, committed more fouls and of course had two yellow cards to Sheffield's one.

It was a very poor and disappointing 'commentary', more of a bland discussion or observations between the two commentators with only occasional references to players' names or where the ball was or what was actually taking place on the pitch. It seems that the skill of pre-TV rapid-talking ball by ball exciting live commentaries are a thing of the past.

I'm surprised they knew our players names🙂

BTW a certain Mr Holloway tipped us to be relegated this season 😯

Well done Terriers. See you in t' Premier league. I'm a Brighton (Seagulls) supporter and listened to t' commentary but had t' turn off for t' penalty shoot-owt.

Yes I've finally recovered from the excitement, terror and sheer nerve shredding of yet another penalty shootout.

we've just got back from seeing the team on their open top bus ride. Stood out in the pouring rain with 10,000 or so other fanatics ( numpties).

wembley is a wonderful stadium but the road system around the place and the traffic management is woeful. You drive around what are mainly industrial estate roads, one minute you're heading away from the stadium then half an hour later you're passing it again going in the opposite direction. That doesn't half take the edge off the elation.

We took 106 official coaches and a good few unofficial ones and they all stopped at Leicester Forest East services more or less at the same time an experience not to be repeated. But a good day out and the Terriers will be taking on the big dogs next season.UTT

True enough Pliars. It's the only time for years that I have stood up to watch football. When they went 3-1 up I thought that was it. When it was all done and dusted my 10 year old grandson was weeping buckets of joy.

Having taken him to the match and to see the open top bus thing he's now discovered that he can get his picture taken with the trophy tomorrow. Hey ho it'll create memories for him so why not😍

Delighted  to  hear  that  a  certain  Bristolian  has  successfully  had  heart  surgery  &  is  reported  as  recovering  well.

Gary  Mabbutt  is  a  favorite  of  mine  since  he  has  always  told  the  world  that  he  has  Type 1 Diabetes  and  has  spent  much  time  helping  children  with  the  same  problems  to  keep  playing  sport  !!

Have'nt been on for a while, my team Nottingham Forest managed to secure Championship safety on the last game of the season. Was a very emotional afternoon but thoroughly enjoyable, especially as it was the last match I would see as a resident of Nottingham

Living in the caravan at the moment until our annexe is built at the property we have bought with my daughter. Only thing is my next door neighbour just up the road is Burton Albion FC, so I am sure we will be taking in a couple of games there.

At last we got rid of that idiot known as Fawaz, looking forward to the new season and have renewed our season tickets at Forest

Just caught up with this, Brian - yes Gary Mabbutt is a great example to all younger players of just what can be achieved.

I'm old enough to remember his dad, Ray Mabbutt playing for Rovers - a very versatile player, must have played in every position for the club including taking over in goal the day Bernard Hall sustained the injury which ended his career.

Good to hear from you Pauline - hope all is well.

I was glad to see Forest survive though I was rather hoping it would be one of the B City's who'd take the drop, not, Blackburn.   wink

The Terriers are looking like the United Nations. We've just signed a Belgian striker to go with our five Germans, one Bermuda, one Dutchman, one Serbian and one Australian.

I guess that's what being in the Greedy league means. Exciting times UTT

Sorry to be a bit late with this reply Pliers.

We renewed our season tickets well before the end of last season, £199 to watch premiership football has got to be the best deal around. Mind you the Yorkshireman in me does feel a bit sad that we'll get four matches less than if we'd still been in the Championship 😉

Only joking. Since my last post we've signed a Danish goalie on loan and have almost got a Beninese player from Montpellier . Town are breaking their transfer record every other day!

    Exciting times.

Went to Parkhead today and watched Celtic, the top team in Scotland, play perfect soccer.

Glasgow Celtic are beyond doubt the team to beat this season. Will anybody succeed ?. I doubt it.

No Scottish side, K, that's for sure, but given their struggle against the mighty Norwegians of Rosenberg, I reckon some other minor European side will have a good chance! wink
