on Friday evening I tried to fill up with diesel but none at the pumps but ok on Saturday.  However my sister in law tells me there is a dispute similar to last years which led to some chaos.  I can only find news of last years so maybe she is dropping more hints that I should go home!  Just keep an eye out is what I am saying.  I am in mid Brittany by the way and it was the Intermarche at Guemene sur scorff.

Not heard anything in the news, Pippah.

But this does seem to be a regular event during Bank Holiday periods.

We drove 100 miles across Brittany today 28/5/2017 and filled up without difficulty. No petrol stations were closed and none had queues. Everything seemed normal.

Travelled from Roscoff to Beziers just over a week ago on a mix of roads and saw no issues re fuel.

In northern Brittany. Filling station looked fairly busy when we passed yesterday but certainly no queues. In any event it was a busy day. A lot of the French having taken a four day break, as Thursaday was a public Holiday, were on there way home. I intended to fill up today prior to our trip onward. So hope there is no problem.🤞

And next weekend has a public holiday too so more long weekends!

I hope everyone got fuel OK and life continues unhampered.  smile

We love Carnac, seem to end up there every couple of years. I know it's not everybody's cup of tea but usually stay at Des Menhirs.

Filled up today no problems. Well apart from the usual fight with the non attended pump, as it was lunch time and the little cabin was closed.

Drove down through France over the last few days, and all I notic d was the fuel getting cheaper as we travelled south!

Might be of use to anyone in or planning to visit the Paris area just now as “The Connexion French News & Views” say are some without  either or both petrol & diesel  mainly around that area.

On reading news 24 france, this morning. It does appear there is some kind of tanker driver industrial action. However the union is reporting that the action will be wound down by next weekend.
