Lovely sunshine here too, a bit chilly. No water when we woke up, thought we had a leak but it turned out no-one nearby had water, it's just come back on thankfully. Makes you realise how unpleasant it is not to have it on tap.

I got back to site at 23:15 last night after completing my 6 hour extra shift. They gave me a free pizza as well so I didn't need a meal when I got back. So I got to bed a bit earlier. Excellent weather yesterday evening and another sunny morning this morning.

The first job this morning will be to get to the Tesco Extra pfs to re-fuel the Smart Car. An opportunity to use my new Tesco credit card and get some extra points!

Plus one. But I notice it's gone in at present! Can't see out to judge cloud at present but I hope it's not much! I have lots of indoor jobs - typical 😂.

Brue glad you now have water - taste of things to come? 😲

    Oneputt have a great time.

KjellNN hope you're sorted very soon and can continue your travels. At least this site has decent facilities for you.

For anyone I've missed sorry 😮 but hope everyone has a great day.

    Sun out again must shift.......

Ps pills seem to be giving me nasty dreams of death hanging and stabbing for last two nights. Giving them amiss today To decide what's worse!

Oh dear Bakers2 that sounds horrid. These pesky pills always seem to have some sort of side effect.

Glad your water came back on brue. It's not nice being without it even for a short while.  My Mum always filled the kettle before she went to bed so she could as least have a cup of tea if the water was off in the morning.  I think that was learnt during the war.

Thanks milliehull,  that's why I prefer not go take anything unless desperate!

Cuppa i.n the sun too many clothes on today - too few on last few days 😉. Made some very nice healthy cookies recipe courtesy of fb, my daughter liked it so showed on mine. Hubby likes them but doesn't know they're chick peas and oats not florist no sugar only fruits. They'll be better next time cos I'll remember to flatten slightly not leave as heaps cos they don't got down on their own 😯. Crust less quiche in oven now was going to make fruit cake but hubby says no 😲😲😲. Now going to prep tomorrow's dinner as always tastes better for reheat.  It has no name sort of spag  bol but no recipe and pasta not spaghetti as we get to messy eating it 😂😂. Son home tomorrow for dinner, no dog 😢,  charity golf on Friday.  Surprised they're not banned won it 2 out of last three years and he's had nearest pin on all, probably jinxed it now but don't tell him!  Desperate for rain and looks like he might have to play in it 😔

Lovely sunny day, needed a cushion inner but our local Wilko didn't have any, so as hubby was going to Bicester, I went with him. Branch there had got plenty so can now finish making up second knitted cushion. smile Called in at Lidl on way home, but resisted calling into Bicester Village. innocent

Millie sorry to hear about your foot and having to give up walking with your group.

Daughter and SIL of our best friends currently enjoying a camping pod on a Club Site. They are loving it, has all they need and lovely and warm. I prefer the glamping tents the C&CC provide, more room, but a great idea.

Lovely sunny afternoon here. The Smart car is now refuelled ready for tonight's deliveries. After refuelling we came back to the caravan for lunch and then I sat outside and fell asleep in the relaxer. Day off work tomorrow unless they call me in for an extra shift.

We are not doing too well so far on this trip, hopefully things can only get better now.

This morning I had to take OH to the hospital drop in centre as she has had a couple of painfull, swollen toes on her right foot for a week now.

She did see a doctor when it first started and he prescribed Diclofenac, which did help to start with.  However the toes stopped improving and yesterday the big toe started swelling up too.

At the hospital she had a blood test and 2 x rays and these showed that she has Gout.....I thought only old  men got gout!

So she now has a cocktail of 4 different pills to take for 3 days and that should hopeully sort her out.  She took the first dose at lunch time and toe number two is already starting to look a  little less puffy.

Better news too on the Alde front, Red Pennant contacted Alde in Germany and two rubber joints to replace the damaged sections are now on their way to us.  They are supposed to arrive quite soon as I have paid for express delivery, rather disappointed at the large delivery charge as previously RP have had parts sent from UK at no cost to us (for the delivery).  The actual parts are not expensive.

In anticipation, I have started dismantling the  system.

    Thanks David.

Parts were promised by 5pm loval time, so are now 20 minutes late.  I cannot dismantle things any further  till I know I can complete the repair tonight as to get at the second pipe I need to drain down the water system too and open a couple of joints.

The installation  is obviously not intended to be easily worked on!

I am amazed that it has already taken over 24 hours to source a couple of spares, obviously dealers must not hold any stock of these common parts.

Just had an e mail from RP, no delivery until tomorrow apparently, I wonder if they will still expect me to pay the express delivery charge!

Oh dear KjellNN things aren't going to plan. Good news on the mediece front for your wife, I hope it clears up quickly. It certainly isn't just an old man's problem it's a form of arthritis and does mind which sex it hurts. Hope progress continues.

Blasted nuisance with the parts I would definitely be discussing the express delivery charge, would be all so well and good if you had booked a repair person for 5pm! Does seem particularly great service if delivery has not been charged before another twist.

Finished my cooking day all looks very nice. Power walk into town and back as mum asked for cash yesterday after I'd been to town. Needed to go to the counter as she wanted 300 but only 5's and 10's.taking her to opticians tomorrow but she does want to go to bank whilst we're out feels to vulnerable even if I'm with her! I blame the papers............

Anyway I'm now sitting with my feet up having a cuppa in the sun, it's glorious" and a catch up on here.  Hubby just asked what's for dinner I don't know I've sorted tomorrow 😂😂. Visit to the freezer for inspiration cos it's his turn to cook 😉.  I've got to do some book work after I've sunned myself, might even bring it out to do actually.

Good news on tbe toes and the pipes front, KjeIINN. Well, 'sort of' good news.

Rather disappointing that the parts didn't arrive as promised (so it's not just the UK then!) but hopefully they will arrive in the morning and you will get it sorted.

Good that your other half seems to be on the mend.

This will certainly be a holiday to remember!

KjellNN ,I would be inclined to tell RP to whistle for the charge if they try it on. The best part of 48hrs is hardly express . Good luck for the rest of your holiday.😋

Yesterday we stopped of at the C&CC site at Wolverley to break our journey up here to Clitheroe. It's a typical, pleasant club site with the Worcs & Staffs canal running right past it so a nice way to give the dogs some exercise after the journey!

We drove up the road to Kinver, hoping to take a look at the NT Rock Houses, but unfortunately they're only open on Thursday and Sunday. So instead we walked up onto Kinver Edge to this viewfinder locating several points of interest in what was a truly panoramic view ( think they might have been exaggerating about Moscow though!) wink
