Good news Brue. It's always a worry when our pets aren't feeling 100% and a relief when they're on the mend, isn't it?

Thanks Moulesy, we're hoping our old Toby will recover well!

On the subject of shoes for a 94 year old parent who always wore nice fashionable styles and won't give up heels even now. You can imagine the struggle. wink

So do I.  Some of their styles are quite stylish and I must admit very comfortable.  I was going to suggest trying Hotter shoes but others beat me to it.  A friend of mine now has very swollen feet and couldn't find anything to fit so we went to Hotter and the girl was so very helpful and found her a pair.

Really pleased that your dog is on the mend brue.  It is always a worry when our pets aren't well and then you have to wait for the results of tests.  Hope he is soon better.

Tammygirl now I've had to look st Flyflot 😆.  Some look very nice!

I wish you ladies shopping for mum shoes luck. I hate shoe buying because you can never tell how things will turn out but I too am like you Tammygirl i keep a good selection. And contrary to what Malcolm says uncomfortable shoes do not get comfy 😲. I have shoes that are really comfy for ages and suddenly turn on my feet and cause aching and blisters- no joke!

Try Josef Siebel I've had 2 pairs of their sandals, great for walking in, ladies will understand this comment 😉. They didn't turn in my feet and lasted for years. I'd wear with trousers or 3/4  rather than a skirt, unless I was somewhere I wasn't known 😉. I have shoes that are strictly for siting in 😂😂😂

I always find whenever I buy new shoes, they never feel comfortable at first but after I have worn them for a while, what at first felt like stiff leather becomes more supple. The shoes I'm wearing, feel comfortable now but they didn't when they were brand new.

We're due to finish work in 30 minutes time but it has been a quiet day. Not a single order, so huge saving in fuel costs to us but we still get paid the retainer.

I've got their gore-tex walking shoes, I'm on a second pair, they stay dry and are comfortable. My Mum wants a pair of black patent heeled shoes, she never did walking, even when young! wink

Good to know milliehull, extra worry when they visit troubled areas. Once a mum always a mum.

Our son home tomorrow for dental appointment on Saturday he'll be around but in and out until Sunday.  😃

It's still 16c outside here. It didn't get higher than 17 in the shade during the day.

Useful information on shoe sources, thanks. My mum needs some new ones, mainly for wearing in the care home. She did have a really nice pair of sandles, which she finds most comfortable. We got them from Go Outdoors, Merrells and not particularly cheap. She found them comfortable though, as they were fairly wide and had lots of Velcro adjustments, which we could set up, just leaving the last strap for her. She fell over a bit back and had to go into hospital, where they managed to loose them.😫 Not sure we will risk another pair at that price.

My walking boots are Merrells SteveL and are really comfortable.  I got them in a sale at Cotswolds Outdoors.  Always worth trawling the sales on the internet to see if you can get your mother a pair at a cheaper price..

Have a great trip, where are you off to this time? We will be heading off in another month, hoping to go away here first for a few days.

Currently waiting for staff at ferry bookings to call me after having a 'CHAT' on line been over an hour no call yet.frown

Front and side garden path now all finished, just got to put everything back in the garden and sort out the chippings on the side garden. Everything is just muddy at the moment as we had a fair bit of rain last night and more to come today I fear.

It's a bit of culture for me this afternoon. My grandson's after school drama club is involved in a presentation of The Tempest in one the local parks . A number of schools are doing a scene each, it could take a while. I'm not sure about the wisdom of al fresco theatre in March and I asked him what would happen if it rained. It'll be ok he said were doing it in the bandstand and it's got a roof. What about the audience I asked."You'll get wet" he replied. I'd better take something to sit on and a gamp.

Papgeno take something to sit on and something to shelter under as well as layers of clothing. Outdoor performance in March in UK seems very ambitious. Seems the performers will be OK whilst on stage but waiting, changing etc seem to lack the dressing room 😲
