Carcassonne to Calais where to stop?!

Hello all,

We are travelling home from Carcassonne on Saturday and getting ferry from Calais on Tuesday so have a few days to stop somewhere lovely, we wanted to stop at the Dordogne Vitrac but it is a long way out of the way, any suggestions?  Rivers and beauty if possible.

    Which Saturday? This week or next summer?  If this week no sites at Vitrac are open. If in the summer Vitrac is only 16 miles from the A20.  Alternatively Camping les Ondines at Souillac is even closer to the motorway.
