Very tempting JVB! laughing Good job you got your caravan from your local dealer. Not too far to travel for the recall.

Our elderly neighbour bought a new microwave and we volunteered to take her old, heavy, ancient one to the tip. There's a recycling plant almost en route to Curry's, where we headed but when we got there it had been closed due to cut backs. So this afternoon we headed 5 miles the other way only to find that one was undergoing refurb so closed until April. I can foresee plenty of fly tipping in the area.

So we'll have to go to another one tomorrow before shopping otherwise they'll be no room in the boot.

Did get to Currys though for that all important new vacuum.

Yes, a fair bit of cutting. I've planned it to avoid any small pieces.

Regarding the plinths, plan 'A' was to remove them and tile behind / beyond them.

Yesterday, I removed a short section, expecting to see pedestals behind. There weren't any. It seems that the plinths are 'structural' and are supporting the floor cupboards.......so cannot be removed.

So with some reluctance, it looks like I will have to resort to plan 'B' and tile up to them.

Full day at CAB today, called at Wickes for some tile adhesive on the way home, then home to start cutting up ply sheets for the kitchen floor. Then finished grouting the wall tiles.

    All go, isn't it? frown

Last night of our X-Mas Trip. Took car in for it's QC check, and had roof bar fitted at the same time. Got to take it back next month on a recall to change some of the air bags.frown Perhaps we can fit it in at the start of our next trip, to where-ever that will take us.

I got a new laptop yesterday (early birth present from Mr H) as mine finally went to the great laptop heaven in the sky before Christmas.  It was in the last dregs of John Lewis sale.  It has of course got Windows 10 on it.  As we didn't fancy paying extra for any other program I am just going to have to get to grips with it. It is a very steep learning curve.

Hope you find your way round it Millie, our laptop is getting on a bit so I can see  a replacement on the horizon. I've only just got to grips with a new phone.

Enjoy your break Pete, hope the weather stays fine.

It's a beautiful frosty morning here. I bought some Seville oranges earlier in the week, it's marmalade time once more! smile

My kitchen floor could do with a re-tile but I am no longer physically able I'm afraid. I could have managed 4 or 5 years ago. Enjoy the work Ian. I used to.

Early start for us today,  well by our normal time. Weather nice and dry had a little frost overnight. Got away from home by 08.30 good  drive down to Bury, just the one stop for lunch. We are on the same pitch as the last we were here.

Off to Manchester to the show tomorrow,  will keep a firm grip on OHs wallet wink

Hope everyone has a good weekend whatever you are doing.

It's my birthday today - hint, hint - smiley smiley!

Took Harry to the vets this morning to have his stitches taken out by very nice young lady vet ( and he behaved himself - me too!) and then played skip in a winning bowls match this afternoon. Off out somewhere mysterious tonight and then off down to Cornwall for a week tomorrow!

    Happy days!

Catching up after a couple of days absence. Glad Mr H's op went OK - has he had both done or just one at the moment? I can remember what a difference it made when Dad had his done a few years back.

Hope the washing machine is behaving itself and you manage to work your way windows 10 - rather you than me!

Edit - should have read the whole of your post! Glum smiley!

Typed out a long post on my phone hoping to include a photo or two.  First try too.  Clicked on the link, it ate all my words yellsealed.  Had thought I'd copy them before I posted just in case.

Might try to repost later, but it won't be the photos from my phone, or for an easy system wink, if I can be bothered.

Well the deed is done, had Motor Mover fitted this morning!!,then put van on site for one night,as even though system drained down the internal pipework was frozen,so it was a case fill water system after heating had defrosted pipes, to dealer for 0830 tomorrow for seating mod, then home with c/van to load,(will be interesting as never had a c/van on our road before) and  off to FM for ten days to meet up with  3 other all season members

Enjoy your motor mover JVB, we couldn't have managed without ours, we tried at first but had to get help at home on an awkward storage spot. Otherwise bad backs all round!

    Enjoy your trip TG!

Happy Birthday Moulesy, hope you have a good "mystery" evening.

Very chilly tonight, fire lit, nice and cosy at home. smile
