It was dark here too but hopefully the days are lengthening a bit. Also, thankfully, OH has gone off  a new car purchase, he cleaned our car this morning and realised it wasn't too bad! wink

Just has a quick look at the link Goldie, it's very interesting. Who takes all the photos?

Very interesting Goldie - much better than Strictly which I loathe.

James takes a lot of photos on his phone as he works, but anything older than two years are probably mine. And anything older than 60 years are from a previous generations. We've photos of family going back to the 19th Century, but they only started taking pictures of cows in the 1920's - such as this one. A prize winner in 1926

As a glass half full person I'm delighted to hear that you can continue with your hobby because motor movers are available and you can afford smile. The GP may well have said no more caravanning frown.  Now that really would be awful.

Sorry that you're obviously not as fit and healthy as you once were but sadly that often comes to us all in time.  So long as you are well enough and fit enough to enjoy every day and your hobby I'd say you're blessed.

Home spun philosophy at it's worst surprised

It took you 45+ years to pick up the phone?? cool

With the Motor Mover you are now a member of the Play Station generation, which probably takes off the 45 years, it is just like a computer game with the controller. It does take patience to connect, but you'll soon learn cool

Have you gone for a mechanical engagement or electric?

    btw I'm not PS gen,

Today we have been to Ikea.  OH had a free £5 as a birthday present, so we picked up DD and we all went there for the "Ikea Family Breakfast".  Was not bad, good value for £1.50.

They had a sale on, so DD bought a Galant double file drawer unit as she is re-organising their study.

Otherwise we just bought odds and  ends.

Back at DD's house we discussed her study options, so she is now going to measure up and make a plan.

We have some Ikea Galant units, so we have said  she can have them if  she wants, she can buy us some Billy units instead.

Felt as rough as a bear's posterior when I got up this morning......head-ache, upset stomach, stuffy nose and realy tired......also felt very cold.

Had a day doing very little (scanned a load of old photos for father in law, that's about it).

Feeling a bit better now, but having an early night......

Had a fairly easy drive down from North Wales to Bath today. The apartment we've hired, (big lottery win but don't tell anyone or they'll all want part of the £25),  is very nice and close to the centre. Looking forward to a week of exploration.

Mind you the car is absolutely filthy so will have to hang the expense and put it through a car wash.

Enjoy Bath, I think it's better in winter, watching the steam rising from the Roman Baths on a cold morning (and having a coffee in the Pump Rooms. smile)

Comiserations......have had all that, other than the upset stomach (thankfully!)

Still have a terrible, annoying cough, seems to take ages  to go.

Hope the cough will go soon. I've had mine since October and I've just finished the second lot of antibiotics.  Still got the cough but seems a little easier.  Result of chest x-ray on Monday.

We've had our local 'caravan friends' party tonight and have decided in Conkers C&CC site for Mayday BH weekend (only 20 min up the road) and a place just outside Leeds for the Late August BH weekend.  In each case we are turning the BH weekends into a full week. smile

Got a bit of catching up on CT to do. My new years resolution this year was to see if I could remember to knit, found some odd wool and my needles.Very surprised, I could still knit after a bit of a reminder watching you tube video. Then I was hooked, practised all the stitches and am now attempting a simple baby jumper. It's kept me off CT though! 😃

Had to go to the Dental Hospital in town today and get a tooth extracted, developed terrible toothache in the middle of the night.  Being Saturday our regular dentist was of  course closed.  Rang NHS 24 and they arranged an appointment.

It was an infection in an upper back tooth that already had a big filling, so was not worth trying to save.  Still quite sore but should improve now the cause is gone.  Did not get much sleep last night!

Thanks, Helen but lottery win disappeared quicker than it arrived!

Had a lovely walk around the city today, walking miles. Really like the architecture and size of Bath. The mist lifted by 11.00 so we could see the hills. Doing the Skyline walk sometime this week. Bet its muddy!

Have you got room for all that food?! surprised

Helen, good luck with the knitting. I am trying to get a baby cardigan done for a niece who had  premature baby last year (IVF) and is now expecting (unexpectedly) another baby in less than a year....I can't keep up with these new arrivals!

We'll just got to the point of realising that we had made it through a festive holiday without a visit to hospital. Too late son fell cut his head ended at minor injuries unit to get stapled! What was the dangerous activity he was doing? Getting back into the car after shopping!

Fit and well again this morning......so must have shook off whatever had afflicted me yesterday.

Flying day today.......but the weather didn't co-operate frown. Most places were indicating poor visibility or even fog. Ahh well, there's always another day.
