What are you all up to

I agree. I think 10 hours is a too long haul flight. It's not comfortable to have to sit that long even with reclining seats, meals, refreshments and on board entertainment. You can only watch so many movies or listen to so much music before the need to get up and stretch your legs.

Sorry about that, Brue. I'll try to get it right next time!
After a quiet afternoon, it's gone manic this evening with one delivery after another. However, the new car with the power steering, automatic shift plus small turning circle, makes the job a lot easier.
We're at kfc Goring at the moment collecting an order for delivery on the new build estate behind Tesco Extra in Durrington.
We're certainly starting to feel the effects of storm Barbara with the persistent wind and rain.

Two Mcdonalds orders to collect now. Parked on Chapel Road awaiting collection both regular customers.

We fed the ducks as usual today. Three of them that were born here in the Summer and are now adults came wandering over to the patio to see us (and for extra food!)
Cannot resist them, looking up at us and quacking. They will still happily take food from my hand. Lovely creatures

Yet another kfc order. Feeling tired now. Less than 2 hours to go before we finish for tonight.

Duck & geese Feeding will be my exercise
on Boxing Day, Ian ! I'll take a drive out to
Shackerley Mere between Holmes Chapel,
Northwich & Knutsford with a packet of p/nuts,
feeder seed and some duck food for the
exercise. Quick repairs on any damaged feeders
and a couple of laps of the mere to shake down
the excess food I've eaten. Then back into the
comfy chair for an hour or three. Then start on
the next meal !!

Panto was wonderful. I can thoroughly recommend the Pantos at The Key Theatre, they are always good. Eldest grandson started off as 'Mr cool' and thought he was too old for such things but within 10 minutes was shouting hissing and booing, and waving is light sabre about with everyone else 😊. We all had such a great time.
We are going spend tomorrow re-arranging the furniture, setting tables and preparing food for 12 of us on The Big Day.
Hope all will be well for you brue. A bit of a worrying situation for you. Keep safe.
Have a lovely time with all your family both here in the UK and in NZ Bakers2.
Enjoy the day with your boys Helen.

Really glad you enjoyed the panto Millie, I remember taking the boys and they also thought they were too old and that it was "uncool " but really enjoyed it just the same.
Hope you have plenty of help in the kitchen catering for 12.especially with the washing up!

Just over a year ago, SELL, someone hit the bumper of the car whilst we were parked causing £1200 damage. We weren't in the car at the time and so did not meet whoever did it. As the person who was at fault disappeared without trace, my insurance had to foot the bill for the claim, hence the loss of my no claims bonus.

Malcolm......you really do need someone to hold your hand don't you?
Nothing you have said would increase your car insurance to the astronomical amounts you are paying. You should be paying a few hundred pounds for each car.
So basically, you are spending thousands of pounds unnecessarily.......simple as that.
Do you really enjoy working all night just to pay unnecessary bills? And making Mrs M do the same?
Or are you just winding us all up?
Merry Christmas.

+1 Malc, I was a victim of the same attitude. My insurance jumped almost threefold. After shopping around I got it down to less than double my original cost.

It was a shame you hadn't protected your NCB Malcolm. Although depending on how many years ncb you had, a good insurance company would only step back the ncb not lose it completely.
I've also had to claim for damage done to my car in a car park, luckily my full no claims was protected so it didn't affect the next renewal premium.

I am now having a quiet hour to my self, busy day and still got my cold so feeling drained. 😩Have packed everyone off to the pub for some peace and quiet ☺ Lovely.

One no-fault accident wouldn't / shouldn't add that much to the premium, Malcolm.
Anyway, as you are paying over £1000 too much for the insurance on each of your cars, it would have been better to have paid for the repairs to your bumper yourself.
And a tiny bit of shopping around would have probably halved the repair cost.
Ah well, you clearly have money to burn.......
Merry Christmas!
