Delighted to say I've left this open as a tab and just logged in, took me back to this page after login. Brilliant. Not to the last post thou - never mind something has been altered for the good. Trying to post this on the new website page - taking an age to load.
Just having a cuppa, pastry made and resting, so chance for a bit more play on here.

This is taking sooo long to load, and it continues to let me type . I'm going to press the reply button again and see what happens, at this rate I'll be back on the mince pies before I read anything else

Been there, done that, Bakers2 so not just you, it's easily done, it appears surprised
Copied the above from Yetiz, appears simlies don't copy as an image.
Posting now is so much quicker, instant response, with doughnut of death appearing immediately so hopefully single post. Maybe there were too many users an hour ago? Or someone pulled the plug out slightly??

She finished her chemo 2 weeks ago Bakers, has December off and then goes in for surgery in January. She was on good form today and looking forward to Christmas with her family. Thank you for remembering.

How do you leave it open as a tab Bakers?

Thought I would have a go at uploading a photos - so here goes......
Edit. No luck will have to resize, what a pain

Right click on the thread, or any webpage, you wish to open. A dialogue box will appear asking various questions, open in new window, new tab etc,. Select the one you want and it will duly do so. I use this a lot especially if I;m online shopping or following instructions, can't seem or don't want to hold the info in my head for too long

Wanted to edit previous post to add something - can't.
All the tabs then appear at the top of your screen. Click on one you want to read. Unfortunately the new website threads only read discussions|the caravan.....X now so you have to click through those open. On the old site the name of the thread appeared. Just click on the tab X to close if you only want to come out of that topic/online shop and not off of the internet.
The olden days were so much better
Don't like to open another post so here goes. Millie glad your hairdresser appears a bit upbeat. Hope you're pleased with your hair. Had mine done yesterday, she turned up without reminder this time . Well pleased with my hair and the fact that it's only one cut before Christmas so saved a few quid too

I'm trying hard to get my head round this new "improved" site, but it seems terribly slow and cumbersome at the moment - maybe just me. I seem to remember having the same problem with the previous update! (Ooh, just spotted that the spell-check seems to work so that's an improvement, as is the lack of starts). I wish they'd been able to include a PM system, but it is what it is so I'll just have to get used to it.
On the slim chance that I might be able to add a photo, here are the dogs!
No it didn't work!

No it didnt work for me either moulesy. Can someone tell me how to resize photos please.

Try my new improved navigation method Moulesy.
Choose a Section, choose a thread then choose last post on that thread, click on date and time.
eg 1 Click on Section General Chat, 2 find thread "What are you all up to"....3 find last named poster, click on date and time.

I have just logged on using my tablet for the first time. The avatars look most peculiar. There is just the top third of each photo right in the bottom corner and the rest is a grey blank.

Millie what are you using to store photos? If you are using windows it is fairly easy.
The spellchecker is working on Windows by showing a red line under mis-spelt words, unfortunately it's an American checker so you'll get a red line under colour etc.

Thanks Bakers I will give that a go. Maybe they will devise a nice easy way for us to do it. Oh I have just discovered the emojies dont work on my tablet. When I click on the emojy sign on the above bar they appear briefly on the screen and then disappear before I get the chance to click on one.
Yes thank you I am very pleased with my hair. We shall see our hairdresser again in the new year just before her surgery.

The emoji worked this time.

OK - I've had a go at resizing, no idea if it'll work but you might see the dogs below:

Brue. Thank you for pointing me towards the discussion on photos. I will have a look.

millie - I think I've found a foolproof way of doing it (well it worked for me).
I just right clicked on the photo, clicked on edit, then "resize" at the top of the page. Click on pixels and reduce - I had to do it be trial & error but reducing by about 50% seemed to work. If you then save the resize and right click, then go down to properties it'll tell you if you're under the 500 kb limit.
(There may well be an easier method though!)
Also, if you click on the photo of the dogs you can see a larger version!
Mmmm... I'm beginning to like this new version of the site!
