Write your comments here...Thank you, Briantimber! It's been so busy recently that there was no time to post on here. We were away visiting Chipping Sodbury Caravans to get the air-conditioning sorted. Unfortunately, they couldn't do anything so we have
to go there again on 22nd September. We have to leave the caravan with them at 08:30 a.m. and collect it at 4:30 p.m.

Malcolm, also good to hear you back!  I only live 10 minutes or so away from CS Caravans. Indeed the late owner was a good friend of mine.  If you are spending the day in the area happy to meet up for a Beer or coffee!

Write your comments here...Thanks TF. It would be nice to meet you. However, we have already arranged to meet some friends and go out for the day whilst the caravan is being serviced.

We'll be going to the NEC show in Birmingham on 10th to 12th October on the temporary Caravan Club site so we could meet you then if you are also planning to be there.  We have tickets to attend the show on the 11th and we're booked to stay on a shingle
pitch for two nights. There's evening entertainment of 50s music on Tuesday night which is included in the site fee.

So......4 weeks ago the problem was reported to IT (not for the first time, I understand).

2 weeks ago, IT were "working on it".

Are IT really that slow that they can be working on such a minor project for 4 weeks (and still haven't fixed it)........or are they in fact
    not working on it? Undecided

4 days later and still not working

Would someone from HQ please come on here and say the system is scrap instead of just ignoring the post. It's so rude

I think the IT department are concentrating on getting the new forum software to a point where it can be introduced. I suppose we have to ask ourselves whether we want them to focus on that or alternatively spend time trying to fix things that can be achieved
    by other means?

Sorry David I can't accept that. Look at the post from Rochelle below

"Rest assured you’re not being ignored! Our IT team are working to resolve the problem; I have asked for an update and should come back to you shortly".

That warrants a reply because it was written three weeks ago

There wasn't a problem then there was. Something caused it and that should be explained

Totally agree. Even if they are not going to do anything at this stage, it warrants a response.

The point I am trying to make is what would you prefer? Personally I think it a complete waste of time unless it means the problem would carry over to the new forum. If it doesn't carry over put up with the mild inconvenience for a while.

The trouble is, based on past performance, there is little confidence that anything will improve.

I have enailed Rochelle and also put the question on the CC Facebook page.  Both times I received the response that it had been referred to the IT team.  This was 2 weeks ago and I have heard nothing since.  I do at least think they could give us some sort
of information as to whether this is going to be sorted out or not.

We are not important enough to warrant an answer miliehull, lets face it, some of the posters on here are the original start up members of CT. Perhaps we will get an  answer when the original CM returns.....YellCool

Without the email updates, how can you know which of the discussions you have been following have been updated?

Just go into each section and look for the word NEW in red next to the updated posts.

It seems that the problem has been around for several weeks despite the IT team being PAID by us to resolve the issue.  All we get is empty promises.

Graham Turner of the Media Department posted this in the Ask the Expert section which is basically the same as I suggested further up the thread!

Posted 2 weeks ago by GrahamTurner

Will the experts be answering the question 'Why are we still not getting email updates for the discussion we are following on CT?'? It is 3 weeks now since the link stopped working.

Hi Milliehull, again, thanks for your patience on this. The problem has now been escalated to our IT department, who are working hard to solve the problem. The reason it is taking a while is that this is the same team are those who are working on the launch of the new website, and so things are taking a little longer than usual. We are pushing hard to get this resolved and understand your frustration. Kind regards, G.
