When I look at the Club's Facebook Page I can't see any posts other than those started by the Club. How do you view topics started by the public?

David. I sent a personal message via faebook messaging.  I didn't really want to complain so that the general public could see it.

Same here, looks like November has come early. What's next, the reliability survey being published.

Just come in and logged-on to E-mails to find 11 Club together – you have updates messages, I now expect to inundated with these messages because of the length of time this service has been unavailable. Still at least it’s back so thank to our hard working IT staff. Happy

I've just had my first email notification in weeks and it was to tell me that "email notification (1) has been updated.

NO it hasn't, because that was closed down weeks ago.

I haven't had any notifications for discussions where there should have been.

Not totally fixed I fear. A new notification took 4 hours to appear. So perhaps it is work in progress rather than a fix.

To me it is the complete folly of having notifications in the first place. How people can't keep track of what they post on here by just by running through the various sections I don't know. Several people who have mentioned the lack of notifications appear not to be frequent posters and all they have to do is look at the list of "My Posts" to the right of the posting pane to see their last five posts. I would have thought it a fairly simple procedure to just click on those five items to check for any new posts? I suppose we all have our own way of doing things but the last thing I want is an inbox full of e-mails which I then have to delete.

I clicked to follow the A1 North post as I'm heading that way on Aug bank holiday. There have been 3 posts today and I haven't received one email alert

David It's not always convenient to have a computer infront of your to look for answers. In my post above it was easier for me to hear the sound of an incoming mail to alert me to something I  wished to an eye on when I wasn't beside the computer.

If the facility is there for members to use if they so wish then that is their choice so to say it's folly is wrong.

Can I remind you also that this was reported by you some 7 weeks ago and it hasn't been put right yet. Maybe as you alerted HQ you could ask why as 7 weeks seems a long long time.

    Harry

When you have an alert on your phone (I assume?) do you immediately open CT on your phone to see what has been said or do you wait until you have access to your computer?

As to asking why it has taken so long that has already been answered by the Media Department. They are concentrating their efforts of the new software, which from the sound of it is bigger than just CT. Solving existing problems has to be done when they
have an opportunity within their current upgrade work and it is clear to me where the priority rests. Whether we like it or not it seems that sorting out minor problems on the current forum comes off second best to the work on the new platform or at least
that is my interuptation of what has been said. If they have a moment they will try and fix as they have done in this case.

Maybe not immediately but as I said in my post the alert gives me the chance to read something when I am not in front of the computer.

From the replies on here it is now apparent it hasn't been fixed. For instance I wasn't alerted to your reply just now.

If the facility doesn't work then shut it down until it does.
