    This may help

    http://www.yorkshire-dales-flyfishing.com/ure.htm

There are also several still water trout fisheries in or close to  'Uredale'.

Been a Fly Fisherman for ovr 40 years now. I know everybody has different preferences and I personally much prefer river fishing for wild trout. There are an abundance of good trout rivers here.  Anyone wishing for a change from fishing in artificially stocked
fishing ponds must come up to Bonnie Scotland and try their hand at catching trout in their natural habitat.

can't argue with that K. Some lovely trout and grayling rivers south of the border too. Don't mind the odd afternoon or evening on the stocked still waters either but the real thing certainly is best! Even enjoyed saltwater fly fishing from the rocks of  west coast of Scotland too.

Write your comments here...Glad you enjoyed the fishing, I am planning to teach my youngest grandson all about fly fishing, when the school holidays come round. In fact he has all my rods and fishing gear in his dad's garage ready to start.

How's that grandson doing? I taught my son years ago and he picked up the casting skill within an afternoon. He then found golf more appealing.Undecided
