LPG use
We are about to buy a van which has no gas cylinders but LPG. Is it common at all garages here and in Europe. How have people found using it?
Any thing we need to look out for?

we have a refillable LPG tank and use it all over Europe. you will need three adaptors to cover all pump types so get ypur dealer to chick these in as part of the deal.
look at www.filllpg.co.uk for filling points, again by country, should reassure you.
nice to have one point reasonably close to home, so that you can fill whichever direction you are heading....
oh, and gas is a quarter of the price of a normal 6kg calor refill
Whoch, if on EHU om sites is B all use!

Sorry but I don't understand Easy T comments. Is whoch a spelling mistake or does it stand for something? We would have ehu but need gas for the cooker there is no electric point and it also has an external BBQ point running on the gas.
Did i confuse matters by referring to our unit as a van? It is not a caravan but a van conversion. I always call it "the van".

My typing Beverley. Instead of whoch read which - adjacent characters on keyboard.
Many caravanners are never off EHU and use little gas. I am away 17 weeks of the year and cook regularly. We get through about 6kg of gas. I think that off EHU the fridge probably uses more gas than cooking. And certainly if I used gas for heating that would have a big impact on usage. It really depends on ones circumstances I suppose.
