I have to agree with wildwood we have all made fools of ourselves at some point in our lives. Having said that I didn’t see the program
What I did find interesting in the article about the AGM was the comment ‘In the past 6 months, 45% of new members joining the club owned a motorhome or campervan’. This made me wonder if maybe people are wanting to tour more rather than spending their
time away in only I or 2 places. Being able to tour more was our main reason for moving from caravan to van conversion. I wonder if others have moved from one to the other & what their reasons were. Maybe also from motorhome to caravanI think total newcomers to the pastime tend to choose a motorhome because its simple and getting established with a suitable car and van then tackling towing frightens many off, I know it would me
Strangely I enjoy towing and the more challenging the better.

I wonder why the caravan park he owns isn't an affiliated site
It is an Sfiliated Site........... Affiliated to The Caravan and Camping Club

I came to it after being encouraged by my father (a much more trusting soul than me) to take his car and caravan out on short holidays. That was in the much simpler days when we could make and fit our own towbars, any car heavier than the van would do and no bother about driving licence categories
After nearly 40 years and well over 100,000 miles I dont really think about it but enjoy
Hope you enjoy many more years touring with your caravan

I think that's a different type of affiliation to that run in conjunction with the CC. The Sandringham site is run by the C&CC not by a different site owner. The C&CC scheme is just a way of combining Historic Properties with sites close
by. The Earl of Leicester's site Pinewoods Holiday Park has both Statics & touring pitches and is not really the type of site that the CC should be in affiliation with, IMO of course.0 -
Several affiliated sites have some statics
I agree, but have you looked at the Pinewoods' website. The photos show masses of the things!!
