Vehicle profile when booking
Just a little niggle but whenever I book a site I am asked to select the vehicle, mine being a Motorhome but the selection choice seems to default to caravan.
Thats not a problem as I just click the stored motorhome details & Roberts yer Uncle but then a red message pops up saying I have changed my outit profiles and should update it.
I have done this several times even Deleted User info and reentered it but to no avail. Anyone on IT tell me what to do?

Life is too short, Tammy, but if we don't flag up these errors will they know they are there?
Steve, I'm pretty sure its been mentioned before. The problem you had was a bit differant I think, to the one myself and OP has, on mine the motorhome is there but it defaults to add ' Another' all I have to do is click on the motorhome and all the details
are there, just another one of the things that are peculiar to the club.0 -
Happens to me every time I book. I have contacted the Club and it seems they were unable to correct it. What I have not tried is deleting it completely and starting again. Don't know if that would work. I have got so used to just ignoring it. The details
come up correctly on the booking so other than a software glitch it doesn't seem to cause a major issue.David

Hi all
We are indeed trying to sort this glitch out on the soon-to-be new and improved website. I will, as normal, forward on your important feedback to the digital media team but as mentioned above, if you have 2 minutes to spare we can update your details correctly
at Head Office on the master system. Feel free to use the Web Chat function when on line or call 01342 318813. Alternatively pop the correct details of your van on an email to
enquiries@caravanclub.co.uk and we will amend this end. Thanks all
Helen

Write your comments here..Been trying for the last 2 days just to update my mobile number in My Profile, even had 3 chat sessions with different team members who all stated that they'd managed to do it for me, but no, it's still the same. I've given up.

Another fault is the requirement to put in a number for my towcar. I don't have a towcar or even a towed car or a toad car. Another example of a caravan-centric organisation ??

Does it not mean the registration number regardless of if it's a tug that may be tugging a caravan, a trailer, another vehicle, a boat, a horsebox, a jet ski, or tugging nada.
What would you put if you were riding a motorbike or bicycle with a tent as your accomodation?
Rare sense has to be applied.

You are guessing that when someone designed this particular funcionality on the website they identified in their minds that the expression "towcar" would be understood to mean and/or include "motorhome"
I am guessing that when that person designed this functionality they were focussing on caravans and didn't think about motorhomes. Unless the web designers and/or programmer posts here to identify their logic neither of us will know.
My point however is that I shouldn't have to guess or speculate what information is needed but rather that the opportunity should be taken to correct this functionality.
Meantime I enter the number as "NO TOWCAR"

I suggest you are either intellectually challenged, pedantic or downright argumentative If you expect web developers to
think beyond what they are instructed to do and actually know the practical application of their efforts in the ether of IT, you are deluding yourself.I refer to my comment of rare sense, it's not very common
It is clear the identifying registration number of the vehicle, be it towing or otherwise, arriving at the site is the information required.
How would you fare on a ferry where number plate recognition is employed??

Some members just revel in being awkward and pedantic.
