You will find that a lot of sites in Brittany will have closed by then.

Have a look at the ACSI Web site this will give a list of Brittany sites that are still open

Just spent 10 nights at Le St Nicolas, Port Manec'h near Pont Aven. ACSI site, really excellent, indoor swimming pool. Closed 17th Sept this year. Beautiful area. I recommend it, freindly owners, large pitches.

Just had a couple of nights at La Falaise, which is situated in La Turballe (Loire Atlantique, but only just).  Site is open until the 30th October, right on the beach and less than a Km from town.  Nice pool and excellent "snack bar" that does cocktails
    and delicious Moules.

    Hi Frank

The Orangerie de Lanniron is open until 2nd November.  Its situated just 1.4 miles from Quimper.  To be honest I have not visited this site but it consistently gets good reviews.  You will find any campsite in Brittany during late September to early October
quite quiet and sites will start to close onsite facilities in accordance with demand.  However the restaurant, indoor swimming pool and the 9 hole golf course are all open all year round and the site also accepts dogs.  Where ever you go I hope you have a
    lovely autumn break.

    Regards

    Sarah

Somebody we spoke to whilst we are in France had been to the Orangerie site and recommended the site. In addition axFrench couple on the next pitch on Ile de Ré also recommended it and will actually be there now.

We recently stayed @ La Hallerais in Dinan. Only 2 nights to visit Dinan as we were allocated a pitch (as were others) which was pretty shady we moved on.

Frank, I assume from your Devon address you will be going across to Roscoff. A site close by which is open all year is Le Fond de la  Baie at Locquirec - it's right on the beach if that's what you want, although rather windswept.

Late in the season I myself would go to the city site at either Rennes or Nantes, which are both also open all year and will be livelier, but perhaps with dogs you may not want city life.
