Hello, change of plan weather better down south. Any tips on the best route, and any good campsites you have stayed on, and the best places to visit. Many thanks Sean

Sounds a good plan. So from your base in Avon a Portsmouth to Caen ferry is easy and chase on south till the sun comes out.

I guess you will make for Carcassonne  - and Souillac, Figeac , Villefranche de Rouergue and Albi are all worth a pause on the way down there.  Take care.

We stayed near Carcassonne and loved it. We went via Calais and stopped twice on the way down, Angers and Celles. We went to Ulldemolins too then did a similar route on the way back.

We stayed near Carcassonne and at Latour de la France not far from Perpignon last year. Our sites might not suit you as we try to find quieter sites but the descriptions of places to see might be of interest. My blog about it is jennyandjohngocaravanning.wordpress.com
