    • Nantes Ring Road Go West over the big bridge !!!!!

    Hi All,

    I should have posted sooner, when coming home from La Garangeoire the East ring road was closed in late July, requiring forced diversions etc not good when towing.

    I believe these road works are in place throughout August also. If I am wrong please update this post...

    if not ensure to take the westerly route over the bridge folks.

      ISTR that it was closed (or at least heavily restricted) last year when we were returning from Noirmoutier.

      Details and reasons on Nantes.fr website. A bridge is closed for south to north traffic until  24 August 2016.

      It took us nearly three quarters of an hour, stuck in heavy traffic, to get to and over the bridge a few weeks ago.heading south to north.

      It's the last time we go near Nantes!
