      Interesting you should mention this. Is it the A8 you're looking to avoid? Was a horror show last week heading West but not so bad heading East.

      AD.  Sorry to put a spanner into your plan but there are also huge delays on the Frankfurt - Wurzbug autobahn where they are widening a bridge!   It would appear that nearly all the autobahns in Southhern Germany have very large works on them.

      Autobahns on a Friday/Saturday are always very busy in summer in Germany, it is when they go on holiday!
