Dover Ferry - Late Arrival

Hi, i'm arriving late on a Friday evening at Dover, for an early ferry to France on the Saturday. Years ago we just parked on a road near the docks. I'm sure things have changed. Can anyone recommend a parking spot, motorway services or similar safe place
for us to park up for 7 or 8 hours overnight. Dont mind paying.

    Hi Dave

We have used several of the CLs which are very close to Dover, notably Capel Farm just off the A20, Lenacre Court Farm and Longfield Farm.

All nice and quiet to get a good night's sleep and not much more than you'd pay for a stay of over 2 hours on the noisy motorway service areas.

If we're leaving really early then we let them know so they can position us near the exit so we don't disturb anyone when we go.

    hi Dave

i dont mean to be rude but as you come from surrey why not leave in the early hours of the morning to get to dover as you can only be about 2hours from dover in the first place. i live an hour from dover so i go to bed early and get up a say 4am to get
to the docks by six. .
