Trouble booking night crossing Stena Ferry to Holland

Has anyone else had any problems using the CC Stena Line ferry booking service online?  I can't get an overnight sailing outbound or return for the beginning of June returning beginning of July.  It's a pity because normally I have no problems doing this
and the discount is fantastic.  Help.....I don't want to lose out by booking with Stena direct...!!!

You are right - I just tried a dummy booking for those dates and there's a snarl up in the system.  Looks like you need to phone the Club booking service when they re open on Monday and ask them to do it for you.  They will, I'm sure.

Thanks for this.....I thought I was going crazy....!  Don't know whether it's because the Stena site itself has a discount offer running until Monday (but it doesn't apply to some of their overnight sailings - the ones I want, of course..!) and that is what
is fouling up the system.  I'll call the CC travel line on Monday.  Yell

Just tried it too; when I input times for an evening crossing I got the message that they haven't got availability for this; when I input morning times I did get results for day crossings.  As ET said, there's obviously a gremlin in the system.  No good
when you want to book something now, but having to wait until Monday to be able to contact the booking service by phone, is it?

Yes, it's rather frustrating as I am trying to make my holiday arrangements and I can't do anything now until I can call CC travel on Monday.  Might have another go online tomorrow.  I've sent a message to Stena but they haven't had the courtesy to respond.
I guess everyone's off enjoying the good weather over the weekend....who can blame them...!

Strange really as there is usually plenty of availability even in the high season.

It maybe that there is a 'glitch' or even that there is no availability? If you have to use the night crossing then it may be an issue but we found that the day crossings were substantially cheaper and, as part of an ITX package, even less than Dover crossings
last year when we travelled this route.

    Good morning everyone

I tried to book a night crossing on our own system this morning, and it is not working.

    I have reported it.

Our contact centre will still be able to make bookings as we can do it manually over the phone with Stena Line.

Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

    Best regards

    Hazel

Just to update: phoned the Club on the Monday and they were able to book the xing through Stena for us.  So a big thank you to them.  BTW, we prefer the night crossings (although they are considerably more expensive than the daytime ones) because of the
    convenient departure and arrival times.

Just been trying to book online again with the Club for a Stena overnight crossing.  Seems the problem still exists....nothing has been done since May....!  Very frustrating.  Please can IT look into this urgently please.  Thanks.

    What is an ITX package?

Hi Milou, An ITX package is when you book either sites or Camping Cheques AND your ferry together. The savings are very variable and are usually best on the longer crossings. This year we saved over £200 on the Plymouth-Roscoff crossing. As a starting point
    he deals that the club has are here;

I've just had a reply from our Club IT people.  I am told that the online booking issues I've been having lie with Stena.  They are implementing a new system apparently.  However, since this problem has been ongoing for over a year now I find it hard to
believe they have been implementing a new system for this amount of time..!!!!!  I think what I will do in future is contact Stena direct and ask them if they will give me 10% discount, the inclusive cabin deal on overnight crossings, plus the benefit of a
flexible fare, whilst they sort out their issues with their IT people vis a vis CC member online bookings!!!

I agree with AD.  I too doubt that Stena will give you the 10% plus other discounts direct.  Why don't you ring the CC and book it through them, if you know the crossings you want?

Still not working.  I have spoken to the overseas people, e-mailed Rochelle and had 2 conversations via chat with travel department.  I just don't believe this is a Stena problem for the following reasons:

    1.  You can book night crossing on the Stena website so there is no justification in the club putting up a sign that essentially says there is a lack of availability!

    2.  You can book day passages via the CC system with no problem.

Come on CC you have had long enough to sort this out.

AD its not always easy to phone when your abroad and travelling

I just booked direct as the price was the same s CC but  with Stena you got a gold ticket so access to lounge etc not just the flexi ticket you get with CC for the same price.

Also I am able to book online at CC so maybe try clearing your cache to see if it helps.

I have never found a price comparison, CC is always cheaper.

Clearing the cache will have no effect

Hi Oneputt, as CC deals all seem to be based on a return it seems that you may be trying to access a deal that simply does not exist?

Write your comments here...we'll it's up to you but yesterday I was able to book a ferry overnight with a cabin, obviously the problem lies with you wether that's technical or something else!

I agree that CC is normally cheaper but when I booked a couple of weeks ago they were the same but direct I got the gold ticket not just flexible ticket for same price!

I don't think the problem is with me as I can't book any night crossings with any of my devices.  Don't have a problem making day bookings.  Looked at day crossings yesterday and the club was nearly £40 than Stena!

This is the message that comes up using the CC site when trying to book an overnight ferry to/from hook/Harwich

We are unable to find any availability for this route at this time. Please try again, however if the problems persist it may be because the operator has not released any availability
yet for those dates or there is a temporary
