Booking ferry via CC website
If you decide on dates to sail and which ferry to use and then go through the booking procedure on the webiste, often you get a message stating that the booking cannot be processed any further however with no reference to the issue.
The issue could be that the cabin you selected is nto available etc but thsi is not made clear. Surely it would be better if you were advised what type of cabin was available instead of selecting accommodation until you are accepted for the booking?
I think next year we will join Brittany Vogayer Club as at least you have the option to choose to have insurance for flexible dates. In addition, it seems that you can get up to 30% discount which if you are making two or more trips to France or Spain in
a year makes it worthwhile.

I have never seen this, is it quite close to your tavel date?
I would just ring them if there is any doubt.
I have had it happen on several different occasions and the way to find out what is available is to go to the ferry company's website and then to do the same booking. You then go back to the CC booking and select what is available.
That is how I found out about the Club Voyager, the discount and that you can have insurance for flexible travel dates i.e you want to leave early to come home. Seems using the CC ferry booking is not always the best option.

a year makes it worthwhile.Don't forget that there is an initial registration fee of £70 and an annual fee of £70 for that, so the first year you'd have to save over £140 to benefit. I suppose for people using it for 2 returns a year it would be worthwhile.

Also I'd always ring the Club as there are often wide variations depending on day of the week and times etc which you can discuss with a human (or the direct ferries site gives you a selection of days and times so you can pick the one you want)

We have noticed an Increase in the ferry prices this year in fact the price difference is around £70 . Quite a lot in my opinion.

There has been some change in the fuel they have to use (but oil prices have come down dramatically?)

We are hoping that we will be able to travel twice a year and are aware of the initial registration cost. The big plus for us is being able to opt for flexible dates with no additional charges. As we intend to use the St Malo crosssing most times, we would
save about £50 a trip.0 -
Surfer, Brittany Ferries make a charge of £25 to change a booking within five days of starting out from England and also for changing the date of a return crossing while one is away. Are you saying those changes of date are free of charge for Club Voyage

I would never use the web to book a foreign holiday with the club. We always make our choice and ring. The staff are very helpful and even saved us money by checking the alternative ferries for us. Generally they know a lot more than you and can help and
the ferries were cheaper than the ferry companies figures.0 -

members?I don't think it is free however you can add it on as an option for about £20. This then allows you to change the both departure dates if you wish to do so with the minimum of hassle.
We booked with the CC and had to change our return date and there was a huge price increase of over £200 however this was with the ferry and not the club.
We changed not only the dates but also the destination port. As we we were still sailing with the same ferry company and the date is over 2 months in the future there was no charge.
