Hello Husky, you said earlier you were looking at Camping la Foret at Jumieges. For the first week in July the Club will book you a pitch there for £20 a night, with an ACSI card you will pay just under £13 a night (€17). but in June the difference in the two prices is a lot less.
But if you are going later in July than that the card will not be valid there, and if you choose a different site it may not be accepted at all.
I think you need to pop over there this year as a reccy for 2017

You can use the card at Jumieges, between the following dates: 01/04 - 08/07 and 26/08 - 31/10 (2016 but 2017 will be similar). You buy a card and guides each year, and that allows you to take advantage of the discounts. The card and guides, inclusive
of postage, cost between £10.00 (from ACSI) and £17.00 from the Caravan Club - so if your total saving during your holiday is more than that, then it's worth it. For those of us who stay for longer, the savings are greater. We saved 26 euros per night,
for three nights, on one site last year - and used the card for around another 24 nights on the same and different sites, each with a saving over the site tariff. However, there are thousands of sites where the card isn't accepted, and some of them can be
cheaper than a nearby site taking the ACSI Card (as well as being less busy!).0
