There is also the municipal site in Langres, which gets good reviews, and if you get further south there is a municipal site in Dijon. Further north still is the site at Chaumont. I don't know Ferme de la Croissee but it gets one good review
here I always think it's good to have some alternatives for an overnight stop as you never quite know just how far you will get before you just have to stop!0 -
Very close to the A31 is Camping Hautoreille at Bannes. We have used it several times due to its extended season when travelling "out of peak" .If towing do watch out when turning at the top of the site because the owners have put some up ended pit props
to mark the roadway and I did see a Dutch caravanner clip them.Mind some of the Dutch do tend to throw their vans about rather vigorously and this guy came badly unstuck through his over confidence! The pitches have that open concrete lattice on grass which
makes them OK in wet conditions. It is an ACSI site and is just north of Dijon.Hope this helps,Ken.0 -
Thanks for the info.
Is it best to pre book sites or could you just turn up. We are planning of going at the end of June.

We have never booked at the latter site but it is very popular with German overnightcampers due to its position on the A31,so do not leave arrival too late in the day.We have also stopped at Chatillon sur Seine on the town Municipal and at the private site
at Marcenay 1885 and 1905 respectively in current ACSI ;that is on the " cutting off the corner" route by coming off the autoroute when heading south from Calais.0 -
For a Plan B ,in case of delays, you also have the option of Rives du Lac at Geraudot Plage to the east of Troyes. It is a fair way north of Dijon but it is something to bear in mind if you hit the unexpected and need an earlier night halt en route.

The municipal site at Langres,
Camping Navarre, is good overnight halt. Get there by mid to late afternoon and take your pitch. The warden appears around 5pm to take your money, give you the code to the toilet block, and the password for the free wifi. No booking required!0
