I understood we hadn't had a definition from HQ. I assume we won't now . Like the Seacroft experience thread, we'll wait and see

I hope we do B2 it's always good to have a response from Head Office.

As far as I'm aware we didn't get an answer, see here the thread was closed with no further information.

Write your comments here...The answer was given on a previous thread after a lengthy discussion.

I've just whizzed through that thread and can find no comment from HQ at all. Which page did you read it on?

Despite receiving a favourable forecast from the BBC only 24 hours previously, for a dry morning up to about 2 o'clock, we awoke to the pitter patter, meaning only one thing. Yep, a lie in!

Pppppersisted for the morning so van bound when we eventually got up. Did venture outside late afternoon for an Eddie the Eagle type walk up the front at Southport but the horizontal rain drove us homeward. Site was quite busy yesterday but we found out
that a lot of the stayers were stall holders at the craft fair held over the weekend. Which reminds me,did we ever get a definitive answer from CC about "workers" staying on site or was that another cul de sac of a thread?

Write your comments here...Yes we did get an answer. The answer was that when on site you are at leisure before you go to work and when you return from work. Also, if you have family staying with you, using the site whilst you're at work, they are at leisure
    too.

I don't remember seeing that, where/when was that posted?

Torrential rain to start the day here. But dogs are dogs nd have to be walked - first time this autumn in full waterproof gear and wellies.

It did bring back memories of out first Setter - Zac - some 30 odd years ago now. If it was raining we'd all get togged up to go out but could you budge him from the doorstep? No way. Iron bladder that boy - could go the whole day without needing to step
outside if you let him get away with it!

    Happy days!
Happy. Use left and right arrows to navigate.

You've been lucky, M. I've spent more time out walking in wellies than shoes since we came back home 10 days ago. Chucking it down again tonight, but we're much luckier than a lot of people at the moments, seeing the floods down south and round Manchester.

We have a very long coastline and diverse county. (Essex)

I can back that up. We may well be back there next spring, all being well.

Forgot to say thanks to Husky for the extra info on the Q box, most grateful.

MillieH, yes we do seem to be having a harder winter this year, November can be a funny month up here, it's either freezing cold like now or it warmer and raining all the time but feels colder and miserable. Usually settlesd by December.

Gosh 4  posts, apologies getting a bit like MM Embarassed

Today was horrible, grey, wet and cold.

I was wondering what I could do on such a day........then realised that actually, I don't have to do anything at all! Smile

So that's exactly what I did.......just a bit of internet surfing, feeding the ducks and watched a film.

Ahhhhh.....retirement! Even after nearly 6 years of it, I still feel slightly guilty if I'm not doing anything.

The morning was fine here so popped off to town on the bus to order up OH's repeat prescription and book Flyte into the vet's for his Parvo injection. Grabbed a couple of Peter James books for 50p each at the Red Cross shop, bargain! Wet afternoon and another
walk out in full wet weather gear.Yell

KjellNN sorry for the delay re visiting Essex. First suggestions, you only have four days so trying to do a run through with drop offs. Not only does Essex lack club sites it also lacks NT properties Payecocks at Coggeshall would be your nearest check
opening, a lovely small town/large village with lots of antique and tea shops. Harwich itself is worth a good explore, mayflower set off from there. Would agree with Oneputt Constable country and the Dedham Vale ANOB Flatford Mill. A drive out from Harwich
following the river Stour to Manningtree, quaint old shipping port, home of the witchfinder general Matthew Hopkins. Follow on to Dedham Vale calling in at Hadleigh in Suffolk. Five, I think, buildings adjacent from five centuries, nice river too. Colchester
roman town with castle and original walls. Sadly I heard at the weekend town has gone downhill with closure of lots of the self owned shops, watch museum and zoo too. Beth Chatto gardens at Elmstead Market very nice tearooms and nursery, could do on way out
or back from Colchester. Mersea Island, tidal casuseway so check times! Renown for oyster fishing. Fringringhoe wick nature reserve. Just a few to be going on with in about the radius you suggested of 30 miles. You'll need to visit again and stay more inland
    .

Us too. I think that we've had about 3 decent days in the last 10 when it hasn't rained. Did managed to get the van washed outside on the 1st good one, though, and I'm glad I didn't put off doing it.

After 50 years at work often working 70/80hrs a week, travelling all over the place and seeing very little I don't regret a minute of my retirement.  Still after all these years I get offers of employment and I take pleasure in not replyingLaughing
