I've just got back after banking the weekends earnings. When I was in the bank, there was a notice to say that the Goring Branch is closing in February 2017!
Malcolm I thought I read you were now paid into the bank directly so you didn't have to go daily? If I was wrong you'll need it that way very soon, you don't want any more mileage . Also means you have written proof of income 'wages' and that you are
employedWrite your comments here...Yes I do get payments through the bank but not all of them. Some customers choose to pay cash on delivery. So we can't get out of handling cash altogether.

Orders that we collect through, Fiordilatte, Brio, Cafe Pitti and Efes are all settled directly by D2G. So for those orders, we do not pay on collection. However, KFC, MacDonalds, Tasty Plaice and Burgermee have to be paid by us on collection. For these orders plus my delivery fees, I am paid by D2G through the bank after we have submitted to D2G the account of what is owed to me. This is because if the customer pays online, D2G receive the payment directly from the customer, even though I have paid for the order. So they have to re-imburse me, which they now do through the bank. If the customer pays cash, then we are re-imbursed by the customer plus delivery fee paid to me by the customer in cash. It is this cash that has to be banked.
KFC and Macdonalds accept credit card payments on my card account. So I pay for the customer order by card and then get paid by the customer in cash if it is a cash on delivery order. When I bank the cash, I can then repay the money borrowed from the card company.

Woke up to a lovely bright sunny day, everything still wet though from all the rain yesterday. Decided it was time I cleaned the outside windows, can't get a window cleaner out here for love nor money. What a mess the frames were from the last window cleaner,
black rubber marks from the squeegee all up the frames, took ages to get them off all nice and clean now so guess it will rain tomorrow Had
a spot of lunch (late) then caught up with a few bits on here. OH wants to go for a walk this afternoon so better get a move on. Its eldest Gdaughters 10th birthday this week so need to get card off while we are out. All the stuff we ordered for Malta family
has now arrived so need to find Christmas paper and tags and get that seen to.Bakers2, glad to hear that your NZ family are ok, isn't it awful being so far away, even though they are ok you can't help but feel for others.

Just back from a lovely W/end in not so Sunny Hunny,on a big holiday camp commercial site,it was noted that tourers are not where the money is, as
it was ten pound a night for a full "service" pitch ,and a look round it was all but empty, but quite a few lodges/mobile homes in use,the toilets did not have set "cleaning" times but could have done with it, as the staff could only do a quick basic "clean",and
they said H&S and the spectre of litigation means only a real clean one or twice a year0 -
Had a cracking good days graft in the "Laundry Stakes", with the last load now drying in the tumbler { too damp for air drying
}, should allow me a good evenings ironing & folding away. Then I'll be free to take elderly Sister to the Shops tomorrow
( Brian just lurves watching other folk flash the cash
}Hoping you lot are as well as can be, & enjoying life to the full
Bye y'all
( really must stop playing so much C & W music !! )

Driving conditions awful in Worthing at the moment. It's raining, dark and traffic congestion everywhere due to rush hour traffic. We've just done three orders.

Met up with a chap from our sailing club yesterday, as we couldn't attend the club's prize giving due to our son's hospitalisation, he had picked up our clubs sailability trophy which had been awarded to me! As a reward for all the work that I have put in!!!!
(Sailability is sailing for the disabled byit like riding for the disabled!)

Congratulations, such a shame you couldn't attend and enjoy the jollities, however it diminishes nothing. Hope your son is progressing

Just had another order. So now I'm parked on Bedford Row awaiting collection from Fiordilatte. It's a do not pay on collection order but cash on delivery.

Mrs M has decided that the house needs re-carpeting. So yesterday off we trot to the carpet shop, me thinking "this is going to be an easy job, just go for something similar to the neutral colours we've got at the moment". How stupid was I? First choose
colour(s), then plain or mottled, then pile, then style, then underlay. Think about the dogs - will it show the dirt, is it stain resistant, does it come in 4m and 5m widths, will it match the tiles on the kitchen floor, what price range (as cheap as I can
get away with thinks I !) and then .... what's the tog rating (what?!!!!). Blimey I could have written the first half of War & Peace 2 by the time we came out of that place ..... and she's still not sure what colour she wants!Write your comments here...Moulesy unless your home has underfloor heating the tog rating of a carpet is irrelevant,so maybe one less thing to worry about..

Just coming too grey outside it seems. Corresponding with nz. All well with family but news from the quake bad . Much shift very soon.
Good to hear all your family ok, Bakers2 . Been looking at the aftermath pictures on the net, not good.
Thanks helenandtrevor. It looks dreadful. So glad doesn't involve my daughter but praying for those hit.
Glad to hear that your family's ok. The big problem now is the number of aftershocks, as these can cause more damaged to properties that are now unstable after the 2 earthquakes.
