Don't knock it, you don't have to join in . You can supply refreshments and stay warm indoors. I wish hubby would suggest sorting his shed, but he won't and anyway nothing would be culled

I have a horrible feeling that nothing will get culled here without a fight Bakers. Mr H is a terrible horder.  I have already suggested a few things that could go but they seem to have been put back. I can see I will have to be firmer.Wink Hope
you are feeling a bit better.

It's another awayday for us - plus a night out and a stay in a poshish hotel.

Later this morning we're off to Harrogate ro see
    Show of Hands
    (look them up!).

We've only another three gigs booked this year - but 8 already for 2017. All these are local - so no hotel (and no slpeeping in next day)..

Well I give up with trying to quote previous posts

Milliehull & papgeno hmmmm same here. I even I can't accept three sets of gardening tools on that basis. They've come from parents and an uncle. We've had 'the kids can have them'. No way I'm shipping or taking them to NZ, although it is annoying to have
to buy what's in the shed, and not so good quality!!! Our son has already nicely sidestepped the offers . So we'd be doing the kids a favour to cull them I'm sure there must be a charity locally that would be pleased to receive them, I must do some research
. Then it will be a different angle on the discussion

Have a great time. Enjoy the luxury of being away in a hotel a minimum of no laundry and hopefully no alarm, apart from your body clock

I spent the morning trying to get re-connected. I finally managed to get through to the EE customer service after going through the various options on their answer machine. I lost the connection yesterday evening. It turned out that I needed to buy more
data, which I did, so back online again!

Should I get a cancellation it will be with a young lady dentist, who I've not yet met, who'll be doing the work.

Went  own  that  route  some  years  ago  NTH  when  my  dentist  died  in  a  car  crash.

Turned  up   { half  way  thro'  a  course of  treatment }  to  be  met  by  a  very  nice  red  head    Surprised.  She  carried  on as  usual,  chatting  to  her  assistant "  two  of  sand  one  of  cement  etc"  then  said --"Its  hard  coming  back  like  this,  got  home  yesterday  with  two  squealing  tots  and  not  a  clean  nappy  in  the  house"

To  which I  tried  to  reply " Het yr  andth  out off  me  mouff"  but  the  wedge  and  the  jabs  made  sure  I  could  only  bat  my  eyes  !!  Brian

If you put the My EE app on your phone/device you would be able to keep and eye on your useage even to the point of it telling you when you were running low

And they normally send out an e mail to let you know when you've used 80% of your monthly allowance.

Easy to overlook these, though, and they often get diverted into SPAM.

Malcolm ,  we are with EE and they send a text if we are getting close to using all our data, we can also log on and check the usage so we never go over our limit . Some contracts now offer unlimited data.

Wow totally unproductive morning . Decided on lunch and catch up on here. After last posting had phone call from a good friend who's really chatty 2 full hours. Christmas cards out on the table mocking me as I eat my lunch. Nothing will stop me making
a start after lunch. Was lovely to really catch up, haven't managed a face to face meet this year - she lives in Northumberland now so not popping distance!

Great day, went to NWT Ranworth Broad and whilst standing in total silence remembering our brave men and women, an otter swam by and a kingfisher provided the flypassed.  Mrs One has just booked tickets for the Thursford Christmas Show for a week on Sunday
    whilst we are at Barleywood.

Have a great time at the Thursford Show.  It is their 40th anniversary this year, so will probably be more spectacular than usual.

It's been raining all day today but heavier rain this morning. We had one lunchtime delivery to do and now it has gone quiet. We're parked by Broadwater Green at the moment. Some of the trees here have lost all their leaves and taken on a winter appearance. A reminder that Autumn is nearly coming to an end!

My duvet day, didn't happen, Don't crywas dragged to Aldi ,  OH wanted a new block sander!  Bought a few bits myself, including some sweet
potatoes, just made some soup with them, just what you need on a day like today. Smile

Have decided to swop broadband provider as monthly charge has gone up, wouldn't mind but the speed is so slow. Yell The BT deal looks pretty good.

Me too. Still, I had a good natter with my wrinkly biker pals (Sussex chapter of the Hell's Anginas). Out this p.m. to help a pal reassemble the rear end of his 60 yrs old motorbike, (over a brew and Hobnobs of course).

Having a day off today, not done anything this morning.  Apparently we are going shopping soon however.

Yesterday was busy, dropped OH off at DD's house to iron the new curtains, do some bits and pieces and pick up her new toilet seat.

I went to SIL's flat which he rents out as the law up here requires it to be fitted with an updated system of smoke/heat detectors by the end of the month.

Took me several hours to remove the old ones, fiigure out why they had no power (so much for the professional electrician that fitted them!),  fit new ones and get them to "talk" to each other.  Now I have it all figured out it should take much less time when I go to DD's rented out flat next week to do the same.

Back then to DD's place to fit the new toilet seat and pick up OH.  The new curtains were all up and look good.

Tomorrow we are off to DS's place for lunch, to see the grandchildren, and to help with clearing the lounge and dining room in preparation for a "makeover".

Lovely sunny day here, still chilly but not freezing. Popped into town to take back mine and OH's contact lenses (full boxes) the opticians were very good about it when I explained that we are just not wearing them like we thought we would.

Back home to make more soup since yesterday's was not liked. OH busy in his shed.

Decided to tackle the music system in the lounge, the CD changer had jammed with 3 disc's in it, its a long time since I messed about with anything like that. Removed cover, then front face assembly and the top of the CD changer, fiddled around till I could
extract the CD's one by one. The changer still apeared to be stuck so fiddled around a bit more till I could free it, success!Smile fitted it all
back together after giving it a good dust inside. Now sat listening to the Shadows, Atlantis on at the mo, Cavatina and Apache still to come, bliss. OH seriously impressed Laughing
