It was a good programme, she has done a lot in her time and coped with a lot too. Actually I just fancied a nice cake and enjoyed making the sponge today!

Hope Bakers2 starts to feel better, must be a real bug to lay you low.

Thanks Brue. Trouble is it doesn't seem to come or go. Very annoying as I don't seem to by able stick at things the same as normal. A bit of the 'can't want to' I'm sure it'll solve its self in time. Just feel guilty, why? at sitting about

Gorgeous autumn day today. Very cold, frosty walk with the dogs this morning followed by Gentlemen's roll up and lunch at Bowls Club (really just an excuse for a pint and a bacon & egg sandwich for lunch!). Spent most of the afternoon putting the finishing
touches to tonight's quiz night - have to triple check all the answers as they're an argumentative lot down in Chew Valley! Happy

Hope the quiz goes well Moulesy.

Yesterday my wine order was delivered, so the racks in the pantry are looking much better now that I've unpacked five cases.

The Gin side of the spirit shelf in the cupboard is a bit tight for space after I added this morning's bargain - £8.00 off a bottle of Caorunn Gin. It would have been rude to have walked past it in the shop.

As you may have gathered I don't like to run low on food and drink. You never know who might pop in.

Write your comments here...With Xmas on it's way, it's a good idea to keep well stocked, Goldie!

Remember. Just like a dog, wine and Gin are not just for Christmas.

Congratulations, Malcolm - you're the first to get that coveted gold star (although it looked rather more yellow than gold on my tablet!) There were one or two others trying hard to heat you but all that effort's paid off handsomely! Happy

    Yes, well deserved, Malcolm.

Armistice Day.  Silence in the Square, London, then walk down Whitehall passed the Cenataph to the Westminster Abbey Garden of Remembrance, where we placed a cross for hubbie's Uncle who was killed on D-Day laying the smoke screen for the allied invasion.

What a wonderful day PATMAU. I cant match that but we did have 2 minutes silence when I was in College this morning. Lovely to see everyone congregate in the coffee shop and stand in silence for 2 minutes. Mr H and I will also be attending the Remembrance
service at Peterborough Cathedral on Sunday. Neither of us have had any family members killed in a war but it is still very moving. We need to commemorate all those who have died as a result of war.

Great day, went to NWT Ranworth Broad and whilst standing in total silence remembering our brave men and women, an otter swam by and a kingfisher provided the flypassed.  Mrs One has just booked tickets for the Thursford Christmas Show for a week on Sunday
    whilst we are at Barleywood.

We started work just before six and it's been absolutely manic. No wonder the boss didn't agree to letting us have the whole day off today! Still, I'm consoling myself with the thought that it's only 3 more hours to go. Much better than doing an 11 hour
    shift!

Periodic rain showers today so not a lot achieved apart from a final check on the war memorial for Sunday.  Had a fun couple of hours with grandtwins this afternoon.  Booked trip to Barleywood next week.

Back to the old favourite, again, OP. Have a good trip.

Lovely sunny morning after a heavy frost last night. Managed to get the caravan cleaned outside before heading off to the dentist. As the tooth that's causing the problem is in a very awkward position the final out come is that it's got to come out, so it's
back again next Friday, unless I get a cancelation, during the week. Got a prescription for some strong painkillers to tide me over till then. Finished off Bobbydazzling the van in the afternoon, and can feel the effects of all the stretching now.

Can't beat nature to give you wow moments, very timely today! We went to the Thursford Christmas Show a couple of years back. Spectacular. I reckon better than West End I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Write your comments here...I hate getting toothache. It can be very uncomfortable, especially at mealtimes. Hopefully, the painkillers will provide you with some relief.

Ooooouuuuuch.  Fingers crossed you get a cancellation. Impressed at the polishing. Was that to replace your thoughts and pain???

The strange thing, MM, is that it's no problem when eating but it just suddenly comes on and then I've pain all the way from my lower jaw to behind my ear. It seems that the tooth's nerve is decaying, but it's in such an awkward position that the dentist
thinks that he would not be able to do a successful root canal treatment, unfortunately.

Keeping my mind off things, yes. It was too good a day to miss, especially at this time of the year. Should I get a cancellation it will be with a young lady dentist, who I've not yet met, who'll be doing the work.

Sounds wonderful have a great time. Your post caused me recall our weekly swimming sessions with our granddaughter of a very similar age to your twins. Lovely times. She was so near to almost swimming as we left NZ, but mum has younger one so hasn't continued
    . Enjoy
