Had our last lot of run beans on Sunday evening so will leave the plants a little longer to set seed.  Excellent crop this year had them just about every day from 20 August to 6th November! Sorted and refilled bird feeders. If it stops raining my have a
little walk at Ranworth Broad later

So jealous of your runner beans. Couldn't grow any this year as in NZ, trip worth it, but we've had a couple of feeds from supermarket ones, not the same at all. I think they're my favourite vegetable real taste of summer.

Anyone had snow, did it reach the Midlands?

We have a little snow, started just after 9pm last night but did not keep falling too long.  Very cold so there is still some on the ground.

Malcolm safe journey to Derby take it easy you've got all day.

On subject of vouchers can't do anything but use in store for Boots. But do save your Tesco vouchers and exchange for more than face value. An evening off a meal out will feel like a holiday. You don't have to jump every time he shouts. Enjoy your life too.
If you still want some work from him offer fixed days/evenings so he can employ someone else's to cover your regular off days off.

    Good advice!

Remember, when you are self employed, you  can decide when you want to work.  D2G cannot have it both ways.  If they do not want to be an employer, they cannot treat you as an employee.

Now you have your pension, you do not need to work so many hours, especially in work where the hourly rate you achieve is poor.  Take some time off on a regular basis, enjoy life.

Bitterly cold and drizzly. Snow on the hills round about.

But here's something cute and cuddly to cheer us up.

    Absolutely gorgeous!

Snow here  and still snowing, though it looks as if it may stop soon!  Cold, cold, cold, too!  But the garden looks lovely with a coating of snow everywhere.

No snow here, but car won't start.  Sent for Mayday who thinks I have a blocked DPF (Diesel Particular Filter).  Waiting for the tow truck to take car to garage.  Just as we thought we were to get away in the caravan to Buxton on Sunday!  We ended up by booking Clover Fields ay Harper Hill as the CC site at Blackshaw Moor and Buxton were already closed for the winter.  Looks like I might have to cancel!

Overcast and dull here but no snow, not that cold either. Went out and did the food shopping this morning just incase as we often get snowed in on our side of the village. All being well going to Dundee tomorrow, must get the Gkids Christmas stuff so I can
get it off to Malta. I also need some crafting stuff that I can only get there or online.

Think this afternoon is going to be a lazy one, paperwork and checking what Christmas cards I have and which ones I need to make (family and friends) Also need to get back to doing my exercises, back getting stiff again and putting weight back on, I need
to live somewhere warm cause I'm more active then. Sad Sad news from overseas feeling really Trumped.

Most unproductive day. NZ parcel packed and posted. First of the Christmas jobs complete. Went onto Tesco to top up cupboards stuck to £40 well £42 and got £8 off result . Topped up the washing liquid, fabric conditioner and dishwasher tablets. Not inspired
to do more by the grey day rain not as heavy or continuous as forecast. Hope to wake up without cold symptoms and plenty of get and go

Walked up to Snowshill today, then across past the Lavender fields and on to Broadway Tower, where we went to the nearby cafe and had a delicious bowl of soup and a cup of tea.

Suitably fortified, we carried on down the hill back to Broadway, through a light shower of rain. Had a walk around the village and bought some nice onion bread, before heading back to the caravan.

    I don't like cats much.

Oh, and I believe there was an election in America.

    Re the kitten photo.

Im not a cat person. I'm not a dog person!

We haven't had farm cats for about 15 odd years, but a few months ago one turned up. Then another. Then another. We know the first one divides his time between us and a neighbour about a mile away. But have no idea about the others. Then one had kittens,
which we are looking after till we find them homes.

They are cute, but they stay outside. I have succumbed to buying cat food and feeding them on the step once a day.The mother is a very good ratter!

Maybe I should have posted a picture of a cute calf!

    I am a calf person!

I love cats - we have 2.  A friend who lives on a farm told me today that they have just got 2 feral cats for the first time as they have lots of rats.  They feed them a little once a day in the hopes that they will then supplement their diet with the rats.
