Lovely family walk round Castlewellan Forest Park this afternoon. The colours of the trees was amazing and as there was no breeze their reflection in the lake was wonderful. Now sitting in front of the woodburner with a glass of wine.Happy

...Sounds good too MH, especially the woodburner, its getting pretty cold here.

Fantastic weather today at Berwick on Tweed, arrived yesterday to more of the same. Pitched up over looking the bay, I love looking out to sea. Went for a walk yesterday afternoon around the bay and out to the breakwater, had a large seal pop it's head up to have a look at us, seemed to be amused Laughing went down to Seahouses this morning and had a walk along beach there, boy was that breeze bracing. Everything is looking lovely, all the berries on the trees/shrubs, the leaves all differant colours, the skies blue with a few clouds, what a lovely day. Hope everyone is having a good time.

Nellie is Slapestone Villa  a CL? might do us for our return journey in a couple of weeks time.

Yes, just outside of Penrith. Very busy for most of the year and at weekends, because of it's position and price, but you should be ok on your trip back north. You have to drive over a short section of grass to get on the H/S pitch. There was a M/H on when we were there 3 wks ago. Great for the bus to Keswick or Penrith, right outside of the gate. We're back again there on Friday.

Just a note, I'd ensure your filled up with water and have an empty waste tank as it's not got M/H facilities.

Another fantastic sunny day enjoying the beautiful scenery of the northern Lake District.

The autumn colours are just breathtaking we have never seen the Lakes look so stunning.

Wish I could manage to post some pics.

Quite a heavy frost last night, as it's the first time the car's windows were frozen up. We walked from site through the High Stand Woods and onto Armathwaite. Back along the lanes above the Eden Valley. I see that the Settle/Carlisle line is closed till
March 2017 due to repairs having to be carried out following a landslip at Eden Back.

I may be wrong, I usually am, but when we were there in September I thought I saw that the railway was starting from Armathwaite until the land slip had been clearned up.

After a short journey from Northbrook Farm CC site, we arrived at Littlehampton CC site. So we're pitched and settled in for our two night stay here. We had perfect weather all afternoon.

We've just finished our breakfast and the sun is streaming through the front window of our caravan as I type this. We've got up to our first morning here on Littlehampton CC site. My wife has been making use of the laundry room. Clothes all washed and hanging out to dry in the sun on the rotary airer. Earlier this morning, I noticed that the car was covered in frost as well as frost on the grass.

Had a smashing day , firstly at RSPB reserve at Conway and then a walk alongside the estuary and up passed Deganwy.

Isn't the colour of the trees magnificent this autumn? The views across the estuary today to the low hills opposite were a sight for sore eyes and then to follow that sight down the ridge towards the Snowdonian range with the sun bringing out all of the colours was a sheer joy, replicated by the sound of it around all parts of the UK today.

I spent a lot of time in that area when young, my grandfather lived on the Vardre, I remember the views across to Conwy. Nice to hear about it again! Smile

Late start this morning after a late night home following last night's quiz. There seems to be an abundance of road closures around this area at the moment. To get back from Truro was a feat in itself with night time closures on the A30 and our village road
still being closed. So we had to lug all the stuff round with us from the village car park!

Fortunately the quiz night was a great success with a bumper attendance (boy, was that little room cosy!) and the best part of £500 raised for Arthritis support.

Next week we've got our autumn quiz night down at Chew Valley and it'll be a significant one as we'll reach the £20000 mark raised over the years! Happy

We drove from Littlehampton to the Worthing town centre at midday and parked in the Liverpool Gardens Car Park. Then we spent about 20 minutes on flyers, plus a visit to Boots Opticians to get my specs checked before the first order came. Then we went to West Parade and parked by the sea front where we had a sandwich and a cup of tea.

We then called at our home address to collect our mail after which we went to Goring Greensward. We walked across the green to the sea front. The tide was in but it has clouded over and there was a chilly breeze. So we didn't stop there for long before going back to the car. A gust of wind has caused a drop of leaves from the tree above where we are parked. So the car bonnet is now covered with Autumn leaves.

    WEIRD,  WEIRD, WEIRD  !!

Went  up  to  aged  sister  this  morning  --  nothing  to  do,  just  couple  of  hours  chatting  and  watching  the  tweets  ducking  and  diving  from  the  trees  &  bushes  onto  the  various  feeders  and  into  he  B-bath  for  a  drink,  then  back  to  the  feeding  Laughing.

Then  we  spotted  the  neighbours  kitten  sitting  in  a  tree  watching--  no  attacking,  no  chasing,  just  watching. Eventually  we  shooed  it  off,  gently  of  course,  but  twice  it  came  back Then  we  discovered  it  was  taking  some  of  the  diced/cubed  bread  scattered  around. So  the  shoooing  was  repeated.  Eventually  it  disappeared.

An  hour  ago  got  a  tee-hee-mail  from  The Elderly  One  !!

The  neighbours  had  arrived  home  to  find  the  kitten,  back  in  the  correct  basket  guarding  a  pile  of  stale  bread   which  it  was  non  too  happy  to  have  taken  away!!

So it's 'barn' milk instead of 'free range' milk from now on then?

Soon after my last update, we got an order, the third of the day. So we drove from Goring Greenward along the sea front towards Ferring and then turned right towards Goring Road to the KFC in Goring by sea. After completing that delivery we went back to West Parade to park by the sea front and take a leisurely stroll around Marine Gardens. Then back to the car for the 3 mile journey to Ardsheal Road by Broadwater Green where we are now parked awaiting the next order. It's now pitch dark as I finish typing this post yet it's only 5.15 in the afternoon.

We're in the Worthing town centre at the moment. We've just been to the Tesco Express here to do some shopping and bought several reduced price meat, fruit and vegetables, 11 items altogether for £8.71.
