Yet anothe rfine sunny day here near Carlisle, but much cooler. I changed out of my cut-off today and doubt that I'll be back in them agian this year, but we'll see. Drove up to Gretna Retail park for a nosey around for OH, but not really impressed. Called
in at Aldi on the way back so fully stocked up for the next week of our trip. Clear sky tonight so we might just get a touch of frost.

1st November means the removal of charges on council car parks in Cornwall, at least down here in Perranporth. So we've spent most of the afternoon walking the length of Perranporth beach without having to take out a bank loan first! Wink

Still warm enough for shorts, although looking at the forecast today might be the last day for a while (much to Mrs M's approval!) Laughing

Write your comments here...Is that the big car park behind tbe shops ? . If you are down near Par beach the car park is free there now.Plus there is a new restaurant called Milo`s which do a nice cappachino.

Yes, it's the one behind the high street. The one at the top of Droskyn is also free now but roadworks on the hill mean a roundabout route to get there. The beach car park, run privately, is still charging.

We were actually at Par Sands, or nearby, yesterday. Walked from Charlestown and back with the dogs and a picnic lunch at the charmingly named Spit Point ( according to the OS map), nice stretch of coastline but had to walk along the edge of the golf course
as dogs not made welcome on Carlton Bay! Sad

Write your comments here...Thanks Moulsey, Last week i walked with my daughter from Holywell Bay to Trevaunce via Perranporth. I didnt realise car parking was free there over winter so thsnks for the post. We also love Spit beach and go most weeks as we
only about three miles away . Dogs are allowed on Carlyon beach now till Good Friday i dont think its widely publicised though plus its free car parking there for the winter.

My  poor  old brain  is  getting  a  touch  scrambled  right  now.

Spent  a  while  watching  the  Arctic  programme  with  the  well  known  solicitors,  Humble,  Buchanan  &  Reeve,  --  poured  a  brew  &  got  back  to  see / hear  Fogle  &  Company  in  Central  Africa  Undecided!

I've  heard  of  "Climate  Change"  but  that  was  a  little  bit  extreme  !!

I felt the same, too much to take in. Wait for a nature programme and half a dozen more come along, like buses! Happy

Trips going fine, thanks. Have had no problems booking as we've gone along. Spending 4 nights here at Englethwaite Hall and the 5 back at Slapestone Villa at Penrith.....great value at £9pn for H/S & EHU. Will probably have a couple of nights at Meathop
Fell on the way home. Must start to search out sites for our Dec/Jan trip. How's the mouth feeling after your root canal treatment? Rather you than me.

Thanks for asking, Nellie. Dentist and me were hoping this treatment would put everything right but if today's anything to go by then it's not worked. Next appt in early December so I'll be asking for it to be taken out. She did mention that I could go to
a Root Canal Treatment specialist in Liverpool but it may cost up to £1,000. Surprised Still know a few people in that fair city who'd
sort out the problem for a lot less!

Foggy start cleated a bit with light breeze, grey . Touch of drizzle around lunch much cooler hubby remarked on temperature and wore full legs. Met friend for coffee . Collected car after new can fitted was 7,000 miles overdue but they reckon would do
another 10k. Hubby thought he'd pushed his luck enough, I had no idea it had mileage limit or it would have been sorted at the correct time!  Phone call with son . Skype conversation with daughter and granddaughter in NZ. great fun playing with aunty Rob's
yes she insists he's aunty not uncle , rubbish truck this end. Whilst we were out there rubbish collection was special time for watching with grandad, daughter says she sometimes calls out rubbish truck grandad and then says oh he's in England! Makes
a change from Skype hide and seek . We joined her for garden play bouncing on the trampoline. and checking out her swan plant, only plant monarch butterfly lays eggs on. Only been in a week, had a butterfly visitor now has lots of eggs and a tiny caterpillar.
She's thrilled . Youngest one distrubed by sister after 9am as due to wake to keep routine(ish) had slept 12 hours, settling better now dairy intolerance recognised runs in the family. Hears and recognises our voices but puzzled at 4 months old.  Lovely
evening . Quick catch up on here before bed, hopefully will sleep better tonight!

Enjoy your time over there millie. Mrs M has family in the south and we've been there many times but I've a real hankering to go to the north for the fantastic scenery, but also for the Titanic museum which friends of ours who have visited museums all over
the world rate the best they've ever seen. One day maybe ... Happy

Another gorgeous Cornish morning, blue skies and sunshine but a distinct nip in the air today (not quite enough to put the shorts away yet though!)

There are road works just along from us which means a long detour to get up to the dunes, dogs have to keep their legs crossed for just a little longer than normal.

Tonight is my quiz night at Carnon Downs, looking forward to meeting up with everyone over there again.

Lunch out shortly and then probably and amble up and down Holywell Bay. It's a tough life! Happy

Fantastic weather today at Berwick on Tweed, arrived yesterday to more of the same. Pitched up over looking the bay, I love looking out to sea. Went for a walk yesterday afternoon around the bay and out to the breakwater, had a large seal pop it's head up
to have a look at us, seemed to be amused Laughing went down to Seahouses this morning and had a walk along beach there, boy was that
breeze bracing. Everything is looking lovely, all the berries on the trees/shrubs, the leaves all differant colours, the skies blue with a few clouds, what a lovely day. Hope everyone is having a good time.

Nellie is Slapestone Villa  a CL? might do us for our return journey in a couple of weeks time.

Had a smashing day , firstly at RSPB reserve at Conway and then a walk alongside the estuary and up passed Deganwy.

Isn't the colour of the trees magnificent this autumn? The views across the estuary today to the low hills opposite were a sight for sore eyes and then to follow that sight down the ridge towards the Snowdonian range with the sun bringing out all of the colours was a sheer joy, replicated by the sound of it around all parts of the UK today.

Lovely family walk round Castlewellan Forest Park this afternoon. The colours of the trees was amazing and as there was no breeze their reflection in the lake was wonderful. Now sitting in front of the woodburner with a glass of wine.Happy

I think it may be caused by posting icons from a phone.  Bakers2 posted 3 devils from his Kindle.  In response, I posted one from my Galaxy Note 4 and the page instantly blew up!  Embarassed (posted
from the CT emoticons, so it should be OK.)  Apologies everyone.

    David

I have always used the three devils on blank posts, since blank pages first appeared. As far as I know I have not previously caused an error to occur. Apologises if it was I. I suspect its this site

I reckon it was me Bakers2.
